I am not hasty about condemning them. The youtube people "speaking in tongues" are probably just peaking gibberish because all the people they know at the meeting that they attend do it too.
Oh I was speaking about videos that constantly attack and demonize churches in general, "Catholics are demonic" "tongues are demonic possession" etc.

There are plenty of those too. When I do a search for "mass" on youtube the first few pages are from Protestant people telling us how wicked the mass is.

When I watched the video of the girl speaking in tongues (first video I posted) I knew it was genuine because I went into the spirit and cried happy tears as it took me back to the time when I was saved and people prayed in tongues over me while an interpreter and prophesy spoke over me too (in english) its real for me but I see a lot of "posers" that speak really slow and repetitive but I could be wrong, I understand many people may pretend I just dont know why they would

Everything on youtube is the unmitigated, unaccountable, infallible truth. And reflects the views of everyone except those who are offended by it. We all know this.

But back to the issue.....

Depends on what your definition of the word 'is' is.

I know you're genuinely speaking this, but there is just no biblical support for your experience.

I would rather you speak 5 sentences in English that gives glory to God than 10,000 sentences in a nonsense babel that makes you feel good.
Speaking to God in a language you know is just so much more edifying and Spirit lead than uttering babel with no purpose. Why would you even want to babel like an infant? It makes no sense to me.

Are you the apostle Paul?

God knows everything you need and knows your future better than you know your own past. So he knows what you are about to pray for anyway, to each its own. To me its a direct current to God when praying in tongues rather than thumbing through choice words (which I do) but when I "babel" prayer I do with mind heart and soul, meaning personally I can praise and pray how God wills it for me, if my spirit is renewed and I just so happen to "pray like a baby" now, oh well biblical or not I am thankful.
Btw, what is your definition of "edify"?

The Bible says that we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies. (Ephesians 2) How much greater of a "current" do we need?
Why would babeling make the "current" better than just talking with our Father in a voice we both understand?
Jesus taught us how to pray. "Our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name..." He didn't say, "If you babel the current will be much better."
God has called us to live by faith, not by sight. When the Bible tells us we are seated at the throne of God, we should believe it and act accordingly. When God says, "Behold, I am with you, even to the end of the age," we should believe it...even if we "feel" like God has left us.
Faith perseveres. Faith is believing without seeing. God gives us the gift of faith so that we might believe the Spirit of God, even when we cannot experience anything tangible.
Sadly, I meet many people who have walked away from the church because they wanted an experience and their wishes were not granted so they became disappointed and disillusioned with God. They expected God to give them an experience when God never once promised such a thing. They demanded and God, the Sovereign King, simply ignored their childish demands. The Sovereign King is not required to respond to the whim of a servant. No, the servant serves the King.
We get this stuff all twisted up and backwards. What we know from scripture is that we are seated at God’s throne and we can talk to the King. The King is not obligated to respond back. He may respond or He may just wait on that discussion. He may just ignore the request because he knows what is best.
We can do one of two things. Keep praying and change our prayers if God stays silent...or we can pout and get mad at God. (See Job 2)
What we don't need is infant like babeling to get closer to God.

Edification is to point a person toward the Goodness of God and his attributes. It is to teach about God so we know our Father.

This same "current" is the same "current" in which we all pray. In my case however, I was terrible at praying so I felt a little below a current, I would pray that I would learn how to pray. So forgive me, I would pray like this "God... I pray um... for my dad he is having problems so watch him and uhh... watch over all those who need help" lol
I pray our father and can probably pray it in 8 seconds. But I believe God helped me out a little by giving me utterances when I pray, my body feels light i may start crying but I do it with mind heart and soul and I know he hears me now when before i was in doubt. God can make since out of voice and inwards i know what im praying and what im asking and I know when its praise and when its deep sincere praying.
Say I have Tourettes from God, but instead of profanity its something beautiful, even when a bad thought enter my head i blink and say "no" or "get back satan".... This is a great thing for me I love it but yes we are on the same current of prayer. Its freedom for me to praise in the spirit as God has ordained it to be for me.
When I hear myself it sounds like Czechoslovakian to be honest lol

You make me chuckle.

I can't see why you need all these feelings in order to be content in the presence of God.
Do you think God cares about the ums and ahs when we pray? Why not rest in God's goodness. Try being silent in God's presence without any effort to chatter in an unintelligible voice.
For me, it's just great to be with God.
I am so grateful that God has graciously saved me when he is under no obligation to do so.
I tell people that if God were to do nothing other than save me then that is still amazing and far more than this sinner ever deserved. I am learning in all things to be content. God's grace is more than enough.

Well in church we praise more than pray and when the spirit moves we just move with it and praise hallelujah or iyateshashemia... But when I pray at home its english and then some baby babel tongues but i feel Gods grace and presence and the spirit within me all the time. Im sure God chuckles too but I am still growing in faith, not yet ready to walk on water

The Spirit is always present and moving. Praise does not need babeling like an infant. I just enjoy God and his Comforter. Experiences not required.

Look tango, sitting on the fence forever is going yo be very uncomfortable for you. Best pick a side for the time when you need to dismount the fence :p

I don't think I'm sitting on the fence. Why is accepting that tongues are for today while also acknowledging that some within the more silly fringes of the hypercharismatic movements do all sorts of silly things while calling it "tongues" an unreasonable stance?

If refusing to take either a "God always..." or "God never..." stance on a topic like tongues, preferring a "God may..." stance, counts as sitting on the fence then I'll sit here for a whole lot longer.

If so then do you think they mighyt be on shaky ground as mockery and making fun of a gift of the spirit might be walking a close line to blasphemeing the Holy Spirit?

Are they mocking the gift, or mocking those who make a big show of something that some might think was a gift?

Even if the former, it's hard to see how that's any more unforgivable than, say, stripping the man Jesus Christ, hitting him and nailing him to a cross.

Biblically, in what circumstances do you think "God may" and in what circumstances do you think "Ain't no way"?
