Geez Ibot, you haven't looked into my alternates on the other place:

Nekoda: A Jewish Temple Priest

Calvinator: A stony mischievous little imp obsessed with Cannabis and television fakery, and having a bit of fun with sassy Tigress's.

Calcemo: A misspelling of Calcelmo, the professor, researcher and guardian of one of the largest libraries in all of Tamriel. By extension and analogy to CF - he represented holding secret texts and knowledge at his fingertips not largely known to even some of CF's senior staff.

DaedraSun: An unknown hybrid of Daedra recognizable by name association but otherwise unknown in the land of the Elder Scrolls.

SolikS: With an avatar of Jack Nicholson's character from the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest A thinly disguised sock representing Stravinsk's mischievous side and hatred for a site Admin who imagines herself the community's mental health nurse and consultant, and who, unsurprisingly, is a peddler of endorsements for interests backed by pharmaceutical companies. Nurse Ratched - pill peddler and mental health "counselor". Formerly a grant writer.

Bindilar: Horny fat man with a slightly mocking tone who loves pointing out the unspoken (and sometimes unrecognized) pie analogies that he never thought were completely innocent.

Brundlefly: Another incarnation of Bindilar and Calvinator, an earlier one.

VladtheExhalor: Although his posts were largely removed - Vlad was mostly a test sock, purposely used to test the boundaries of the Admin that were hunting him. Play on the name "VladtheImpaler" - or the historical figure Vlad Dracula on who the character is based. My Vlad wasn't interested in impaling anyone - just exhaling enough publicly to see if and how he was being caught.

JohnT321: Some guy who everyone probably assumed was named John and had a last name that started with T.

JuiceBoxxed: No comment, lol.

And what - you want me to identify with a generic costume on your list as if the splendor that is Strav could possibly fit into one of the chosen archetypes? Pff.

That sounds so mysterious...

christianforums.com - I used to post there, under this name and then several others after being banned. My legacy involved the defrocking of at least 2 admins.

I don't suppose you're willing to tell us what happened?

If only it were so simple. That forum, at least at the time I entered it, had a long history of problems, specifically with certain members, who were (at the time) unknown to me. My very first issue was addressing a subject that was sensitive to a (problem) user. I later found out that that user was a banned member that was a regular forum troll (long before my time). At the time, the infraction system was such that it was very easy to get infracted out.

I played by the rules and came back, only to discover that certain members were reporting me on anything that could remotely be construed as violating a rule. Junior mods, eager to be "policing the site" did what they did and I was quickly infracted out again.

Soon I discovered there was no point in being me, expressing me, being true to me. So I created sock accounts. Lots of them. I discovered a whole lot of secrets, including many people's real names, including those of staff and senior staff. The people who thought they could play their petty revenge games discovered that not only did I know their real identities, but I could connect those real identities to some embarrassing posts. Even if they were deleted. I had them archived.

That's not even a small percentage of it.

Why are you interested in Christianity if you're a deist?

Why are you interested in Christianity if you're a deist?

I come from a church upbringing/family, and attended on my own as a younger person. I was never really sure of all that I was taught, although I have always believed in one God, church or no. Religion tends to herd people into a set of dogmas, which serves as a unifying factor for the group. Christianity is no different in this respect than other religions. However, Christianity is, and was, from it's very inception, beset by differences of opinion on some of those dogmas. I personally find wisdom in many parts of the bible (not all) and particularly the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus). However I am excluded because of other beliefs I do not share which I believe are in error. At the time of joining CF, I was more "in than out" as far as the broader beliefs were concerned (including those of Saul/Paul). I can easily say that through the influence of that forum and some particular members, as well as separating myself from church life, I had a gradual de-conversion through it. Deism frowns on what it deems "revealed religion" (any religion) and instead encourages individuals to question religion and the world around them to come to their own conclusions. However, that doesn't necessarily mean a guiding negation of religious texts, especially when they match up to observations and logic.
