Yup which comes by conviction and it is still your choice to accept or reject and you reject unless you do Romans 10:9-10

You don't "accept" your way into what is already given but you can acknowledge it. God gives faith so we may believe. The only real choice man has is rejection.

First work?? like it takes work to have faith, so work in believing, so work in salvation?

No the other way around. Faith comes by hearing and out of the mouth just comes what's in the heart. You don't really have to work hard for that yourself. I believe a thought will do too if you can't speak btw. That's just a thing they always say in church: speaking is the first work of faith. That's how you got saved. Not by doing a lot effort.

Grace is the beginning, faith and good works the locomotive, salvation the goal and Christ the Way.

Salvation the goal? Hm of everything yes, becoming like Him is the goal. It's like: I died with Christ, I don't live anymore and then: not that I have achieved it yet.
By grace you were saved. Work out your salvation with trembling. Funny how everything seems to contradict each other.

It looks like contradiction if you read it a certain way and it looks like explanation if you look at it another way. You are saved by grace so work to complete the grace within you with fear and trembling lest you be found like the servant given one talent who buried it rather than using it to gain more for his master.

Of course salvation is the goal and it is achieved by the Lord our God, not ourselves. When Christ comes again we shall receive our reward of new bodies and a new Jerusalem. This is what believers look forward to.

The reward only comes by transformation, and that is by a working faith, not just a declaring faith.

The transformation is always a work in progress by God Himself in us and we will have our new bodies when Christ comes again.
