In brief, if satan's statements, through the serpent, in Genesis are true, then the 'old man of sin' cannot ever die, and sin / sinners are immortalized eternally:
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
However, since God's words are actually truth (Psa. 119:142,151; Jhn. 17:17), it was stated that the 'old man of sin' does indeed 'perish' and 'surely dies':
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
This means, that attempting to engage in 'conversation' with the 'old man of sin' is Necromancy:
Those who adhere to 'immortal soul / spirit' theology, do not realize what they are saying / teaching by doing so, as they are actually 'seconding' or 'amening' the serpents ideology from the beginning, which is why the 'gospel' (Gal. 1:6-7) that they preach cannot truly deliver from sin, and ultimately immortalizes it in their theological position, and their adherents struggle all their lives in sin, never being able to be free from any sin, and must 'confess' over and over and over without any end, or hope in sight.
I pray people can see how the doctrine, on the state of the dead, on Necromancy, on the Everlasting Gospel itself, needs to have connection to the living "vine" (Jhn. 15;1,5), Jesus Christ, otherwise it / they has / have no life, no vitality, no power, to save, or deliver from anything, but are as branches withering, only to be burned up into smoke and ashes in the time to come.
I pray that these things are helpful to those who read and prayerfully consider (Pro. 18:13,17), before they comment.
