The thing about love is that it is not so clear cut as to what is or isn't love. A lot of things that are loving don't come off that way to the person you are doing it to at first but are seen differently later. For example, a parent may insist on their child going to school, doing homework, doing chores, going to the doctor for shots all of which the child could dislike immensely and even hate their parents for doing said things but when they grow up, they see the wisdom and the love in what they did and even go on to do the same to their children.

Perhaps these officers getting fired might do them good because it pushes them out of a job that they aren't suited for so they go on to pursue a job that they are actually suited for while those who are actually suited for the job can take it off the hands of those who aren't. It can also motivate the police in other areas to not follow in the footsteps of those officers who sat idly by and did nothing when they might have actually done it if they never saw these officers punished for it.

Now you might say what does the Bible have to say about any of this....

In the story of the rich young ruler, after Jesus tells him what he needs to do, he walks away tearfully because he was very rich and was not willing to part with his material riches to gain spiritual treasure. There is some key things Jesus doesn't do in response to this. He doesn't chase after him nor does He beg or plead for him to come back or take back anything He said to him. He in fact lets him go which is a good thing because H?e shows that while God is loving and desires a relationship with this man which points to the value God sees in this man, he doesn't need him and can go on without him. This is good for us because it reminds us that while we are valuable, we are not essential and keeps us humble when we might otherwise become prideful if we were led to believe we are essential and make God out to be someone who is weak or needy which would be painting a false picture of God. It might not seem all that loving to that ruler to be let go to walk off in tears but it was because telling the truth even if it left him tears is what is essential not telling him what would put a smile on his face regardless of whether it is true or not. It was not only loving to this man but to all of us becuase to do otherwise would be leading everyone who reads these scriptures into deception. The point I am making here is love is not always so cut and dried as we like to make it out to be so I would be wary of quickly coming to conclusions on what is loving or not.

I'm just going to say this one last time. There will be NO prayers of evil toward your fellow man on this site. Keep your prayers of hatred from your heart to yourself, not here.

I just watched on TV the committee investigating the Uvalde slaughter.

Oh, they were very forth coming. They are after the 'facts' they say. They are confused, they say, as to who had the 'authority'. Meaning of course no one stepped forward to exercise any authority.

Of the Federal, State, and Local authorities, there that day, no one stepped forward.

And, no individual stepped forward to do his duty as police officer and do his job to protect the innocent from the violent law breakers.

In other words, we have nothing but cowards from the top down. And now they are going to cover their....backside...by saying we are looking for the facts. How much fact do you need to know that a person is killing children, and some one needs to help them? What...bull.

The facts are easy. Yall are cowards. Your cowardly acts caused the deaths of innocent children calling for help.

How these people can live with themselves is beyond me. There are things worse than dying. And letting innocent childeren be killed while you sat there with your gun in your hand, knowing you didn't do nothing, and living with that every day, is worse than dying.

It's not a question of 'guns' like the liberals want to say. It's a question of cowardly men placed in the uniform of public service which is to protect.

When you got cowards to protect you....just how safe are you? You're not.

Too bad that young man in Indiana who stepped up to stop the mass shooter wasn't in Uvalde.

What a testimony. All he had was a pistol, and no armor, no back up, yet he was willing to do what he could to stop it.

He had a gun. Plus, he had what those in Uvalde didn't have. Courage. And, that is something you can't teach.

Just because police put on a uniform, doesn't give them courage. It just gives them a job.

Law enforcement in Uvalde had a job. And they all wanted to go home to their evening meal with their families. And, so they did.

Yet so many families had an empty chair at their table that night due to the cowardice of the law enforcement.

And people in America still want us to give up our guns. Put your trust in the 'Law'. Yeah...we have seen that in action.

Of course we have God. And He can sustain them, if they are Christian. Understand I am not saying not to pray. But what to pray?

I think of, as you say, 'healing'. But I don't think there is any healing from this. And what parent wants to be healed from the outrage for the murders committed by the shooter and the police in abondoning them.

The Uvalde police and law enforcement present that day would love for the parents to be healed and not say anything more. It's like someone slapping you in the face and then immediately asking you to forgive them. Well....maybe I will forgive....but at least let the sting where off.

I don't know what to pray for them. I just pray for them. The facts of this event get worse and sadder every day. On Court TV yesterday, they revealed that the students saw the police when they came in and the students called out to them....only to watch them retreat. How does a parent heal with that thought in their mind?

Better pray for justice. I guarntee you everyone, from the police chief on down, is developing thier story to pass the blame to someone else and cover their backside. Pray for criminal charges to be filed against the police, for dereliction of duty and negligent homocide. Or maybe even manslaughter, depending what else is learned. If you or I were negligent on whatever job we do, and someone died, that is what would happen to us.

Personally I think they should fire the whole Uvalde police department and set up a temporary law enforcement till replacements come in. Are these the people you want to answer your call for help? Of course not.

Maybe that would go a long way towards some sort of healing...but I doubt it.

I was just about to post that there will be no healing from this, too.

Exactly. Some things are not to be healed from. They are there to be acted upon. Never to forget.

Tomorrow the Uvalde City Coucil was to determine if the chief of Police was to be fired. Which, no doubt he would have been.

But, alas, politics has entered. Lots of behind the scenes hand shaking, knunckle bumping, backside massaging. has been going on. Thus it has been delayed.

Ah yes....America. How much justice can you afford?

What a joke.
