That's not a very good interpretation of the verse...it goes like this:

John 8:54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.
Maybe God should have asked you first before He gave me
that blessing.

I may fall a thousand times,
but I will get to praise and worship
my God, for a thousand victories.

How do you know if you are lost?

ANSWER: When you cannot see the Spirit of God move
or which way He moves in your life everyday.
And you don't hear Him call your name.

Maybe you should quote scripture accurately, otherwise you're giving a different meaning.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

You're claiming that man can save himself and not relying on Jesus death on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins, which is the true salvation.

Your private interpretation is incorrect to scripture.

2 Peter 1:20
Knowing this first,
that no prophecy of the scripture
is of any private interpretation.

No, I am saying to you what is written in your bible.
Whoever wrote this is claiming that you can save yourself and them who will hear you.

1 Timothy 4:16

Take heed unto thyself,
and unto the doctrine;
continue in them:
for in doing this
thou shalt both save thyself,
and them that hear thee.

My God
told me today
that even
if He were
to let me fall
I would rise up again
by the power
of His majestic Spirit
and praise and worship
His beautiful holy name
for another victory
that He had spoken
upon me.

What is your God
doing in your life today?

THE WISDOM of GOD
Hidden From Man

My God
told me
this morning
the reason
why Christians
will not cease
from committing
all sin
is not
because
they cannot
it is because
they will not.

He said
they will not
because
they believe
they don't
have to cease
from all sin
to be holy unto God
and to be with God
when they leave
this earth.

He said
that if they believed
that they
would be
in hell and
not be with God
when they
left this Earth
unless they had
to cease from committing
all sin
then them
who truly loved God
would spend all their time
and turn every stone
and whatever it took
at all cost
to cease
from committing sin.

And they would
cease from committing all sin.

How about a better translation of that verse to show what it's really saying, so let's start with the beginning of the chapter:

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6 If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters,[a] you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

11 Command and teach these things. 12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

Today we worship the Lord who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. Look to Him and the cross for your salvation and not to yourself. Only God can save you.

All you have to do
is just look
at all the Christians
in the whole world.
They all profess to be born again
children of God
saved by faith
ONE BIBLE

AND YET
JUST LIKE HERE
YOU WILL FIND THEM
NOT AGREEING UPON ANYTHING
EXCEPT THEY ARE RIGHT
AND ALL ELSE WHO
DOES NOT INTERPRET
THE VERSES FROM
THEIR ONE BOOK
AS IT IS WITH THEM
IS WRONG.

SO THE TRUTH IS OBVIOUS.

THEY ALL HAVE THEIR OWN PRIVATE INTERPRETATION
OF THAT TO WHICH IS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE.

JUST LIKE IT IS WITH THE CONSTITUTION OF THE USA.

I HAVE NO INTERPRETATION
OF ANYTHING IN THE BIBLE.
I TAKE IT WORD FOR WORD
AS IT IS WRITTEN
NO MORE AND NO LESS.

YES MEANS YES
NO MEANS NO.

I say
that the salvation of God
is by being born of water and Spirit
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man, but of God.
How about explaining what you think the above statement means? We all believe that salvation is accomplished only because God permits it, and we all know that it's not by earthly doing or the devices of mere mortals that it's done instead. So, where exactly do you depart from the normal Christian belief in this matter?

Where they are saying the impossible is not possible to them that believe.
