Yes as a teen I was bored and longed for other places, now I long for those days and that town

I think my town would do better if there were an arcade or laser fun areas for the teens. We have a bowling alley. That's pretty much it.

Arcades still get packed and laser tag is pretty modern. There are some indoor mini golf places I think.

When I was 9 years old it was great fun to ride a bicycle with my friend Marshall Thompson and explore parts of Palos Verdes and sometimes even as far as San Pedro. We had all day adventures. It was great. We got home at lunch time at either house (his or mine) and then home for dinner when the day was over and our parents were not panicked about us being kidnapped murdered and molested - and we never were. It was a wonderful time.

Great time. We'd leave in the morning and walk the whole day through pastures, jumping over ditches, eating chips and drinking cola and then at night we came home, two 8 year old girls. Nothing ever happened and noone was ever worried.

Luckily I put Messenger on my kid's ipads now too. They're with dad. I get a video chat call from the youngest. He and his wife are still asleep, almost 12 o'clock. Mom can you pick us up? We have swimming lessons says the middle one who is my external memory. Forgot all about it. So now I'm going there with the bus.

Lol he felt a bit ashamed when I was sitting there. She's just as lazy as him. If I hadn't come I wouldn't be surprised if they slept til 2 or 4 o'clock. They didn't even know they had swimming lessons and we went for nothing. It was closed lol.

He definitely owes you though for time wasted. He should have been responsible enough to handle that without relying on you to be the parent.

He didn't rely on me. He didn't expect me to come. The kids called me lol. Hope he learned from it.
Lol I bet he felt like I did when he once unexpectedly dropped by and it was one big mess here. You can't let kids live in that. Uhmmm yup.
