Usually they do but not this time. It usually takes us under 45 minutes to get to my niece's house but today it took a hour and a half. I just finished doing the driveway and walks an got about eight inches of snow.

8 inches is a lot for one snowfall!! My old town was on top of things but my current town waits until the snow ends so they don't have to pay the plow drivers. That means no one can get out. Lame.

The other thing is ice, if you have a layer of ice it is better to wait to clear the snow as it acts as a layer to keep things from icing over

Pre-treating the roads helps prevent ice. They refuse to spend the money here on that as well.

yeah I am in a small town but we have main roads so at least those are well taken care of
