Yo sup guys? Today just relaxing inside as it’s another hot day before putting myself to sleep tonight.

We have another hot day too. I plan on staying inside and sewing a memory bear using my mom's old clothing.

My wife is having coffee with a friend so I'm debating whether to walk by myself or wait for her to come home and see if she wants to walk with me. Then I can see if my window sills are ready to be re-lacquered. I've got everything else I wanted to do with the windows finished - the guy who installed them just stuffed fiberglass into the spaces around the frames so I've pulled that out and sprayed window sealing foam into the spaces instead. All I need to do is trim the excess away and my boards are ready to fit.

All I need to do is hand sew the bear's head to the body and the first of 6 will be completed. Whew.

My wife didn't want to walk with me so I did the 8-mile loop in what felt like oppressive heat. Apparently the temperature was only 81 degrees but it felt a lot warmer than that. Looking at my heart rate over the course of the walk it rose a little higher with each successive hill, and by the time I got home my clothes were wet with sweat. But it was a good walk, I managed to maintain a pretty good pace so I was happy.

My window sills are still sweating stain. I don't know how much longer they will continue to sweat, I wish they'd just stop so I can re-lacquer them. I got the excess foam cut away from around the windows now it's all dried, so really now it's just a matter of waiting for the sills to behave and I can press forward again. I can take a few more tools out of the room and back to the basement, and now just need to figure what to do with stuff in the space outside the room.

I signed up for a class this week on depression and mood disorders in order to get certified. Looks like it may take me a month or more to watch all the videos and take the tests.

I have to go in for a covid test today for my scope on Friday. They weren't requiring the test previously but now they are so my day is interrupted by having to drive 45 minutes there and then back for this test. I'm hoping I'm done with this doctor after Friday's appointment since it's been 3 years after my surgery for my tongue cancer with no recurrence.

Seriously lazy morning. I stirred a little after 7 but went back to sleep and didn't wake up until nearly 9.

Going to go for the usual walk with my wife, then figure what to do with the rest of the day. It was really warm yesterday, the temperature in my work room went up to 86 by the evening, although when the door is closed and it's all sealed up its easy to see why it would warm up in there. I'm hoping we get another hot day without nasty weather because I want to see how well a window air conditioner will cool it down. I'm hoping a 5000BTU unit will keep it cool, now the walls and ceiling are insulated. Once I get the window trim back in place and the blinds reinstalled that should help reflect some of the sunlight back out. I might look at cutting a couple of squares of plywood and sticking tinfoil to them, so they can be put in the windows to really keep the heat out, with an added benefit of keeping surplus light out if needed.

Hello morning all, how are you? This morning, I’ve just had a most quiet and relaxing stroll outside. Have done my meditation, breathing exercises and yoga outside too. The afternoon, just enjoying my usual TV show before bedtime tonight.

Going to walk this morning, then we take the cat to the vet this afternoon. Nothing serious, just his annual checkup and distemper shot.

The cat really didn't want to go to the vet yesterday. Usually he gets in his carrier willingly but yesterday we had to practically bundle him into it. Then when we got to the vet he wouldn't come out. Once the vet had finished checking him over he couldn't wait to get back into the carrier.

Got some things sorted out at the church later in the afternoon. Today it's sunny this morning with possible thunderstorms this evening so I'm going to get my walk in, then hopefully get some more work done in my room before seeing friends this evening. I'm not sure if the window sills have fully stopped sweating yet, I'm getting agitated wanting to finish that piece of work.

More storms and flooding going through the area. Going to play with my daughter's guinea pig.
We have been getting thunderstorms here just about daily. Though it is suppose to dry out sometime this weekend. Just in time to mow the lawn

Usually if our cats even see the cat carriers they will go run and hide. Maybe because the only time we really use them is when they go to the vet

When I was a teenager we had two cats who were like that. We'd get them both confined to one room, then the special boxes would appear and it was still a battle to get them into the boxes. With our cat now we leave his carrier out all the time so he is used to it being around. Sometimes he sleeps in it of his own accord. Yesterday was the first time we'd ever had such trouble getting him into the box.

The only time our cat goes outside at all is in his box, which means he's on his way to the vet (or from the vet, depending). Thankfully we don't need to go again for two more years so maybe by then he will have forgotten what it means when he gets put in his box.

Got my walk in. My wife decided not to join me so I did the 8-mile loop. A small part of it felt like walking through an oven but then I got over a slight incline and got to enjoy the breeze. It's pretty warm for walking so I take a water bottle with me if I'm even considering anything longer than my 5-mile loop.

Yeah, we've been getting rain so much that it floods instantly whenever it starts! I wanted to go for a walk but then it started to rain.

Happy weekend all! I’ve just had leftover pizza with lemon iced tea for lunch today. Tonight, just playing some games on my phone before hitting the pillow.
