So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Hello afternoon all! How are you? The morning, been outside on the road by my home taking a nice and quiet little stroll and some fresh air because it’s a cool, sunny and dry day today, perfect for walking outside. Have also done my meditation, breathing exercises and yoga outside. The afternoon, just playing solitaire on my phone before hitting the bed.

We're on day three of our new "service" and day three with no phone. The company doesn't respond to emails and doesn't answer the phone.

I think tomorrow if there's still no response I'm going to go back to my previous provider. The new company hasn't sent me a bill as yet and the rate they are going even if they do I won't be paying it. It's not as if they've provided any service to speak of.

Waiting for rains to stop so I can get groceries. Since we had the tropical storm go through a couple days ago the rains now can mean flooding again so I want to be safe.

Hey sup guys? In the morning, I’ve gone outside for my usual stroll, meditation, breathing exercises and yoga. The afternoon, just taking a nap because I’m having a bad migraine today till having my beauty rest tonight.

Nice walk this morning, although without my wife because she was feeling a little under the weather so I went round faster than I would with her. Now I've got more boards in the work room drying. When I stained the undersides of the new window sills I missed a couple of drips that looked ugly on the upper side, so I ran some fresh stain over the upper side and gave the drips a good rub when it was time to wipe off the surplus stain. So far it looks like I lifted them all quite nicely, so it's just a question of letting everything dry now. For the next room I'm going to try to find a way to lay out more boards at once - it gets really tedious when I can only work on a few boards at a time so end up having to stain some, let the stain dry, then stain some more and wait for that to dry, and so on. It would be really nice to be able to just lay them all out, stain them all and let them all dry, then lacquer them all and be done.

Boards are dry, ready to get some lacquering done tomorrow. And the new batteries for my power tools are charged and ready to go as well.

My daughter just dropped her guinea pig off at my house because the air conditioning went out in her apartment. Looks like we have houseguests for the next few days now.

Happy Friday all! Today just playing some games on my phone before retiring to bed tonight.

More storms and flooding going through the area. Going to play with my daughter's guinea pig.

Happy weekend all! Today just making a theme called “Blue Bear” for my forum before bedtime tonight.

 

[Lamb]

Thinking it might be too humid to walk and not pass out. We have to go out once it's an acceptable time to make noise outside and clean up the debris from yesterday's storm. It's worse than when the tropical storm went through, so many twigs, mulch and nuts flowed through our property.

Having had our walk cut short yesterday because of the rain I decided to go out for our short loop in the evening. Because it was a short loop I didn't take my phone, which also meant I could break into a jog for parts of it without my phone bouncing around in my pockets. It's been a while since I jogged, and the increased effort pushes my pulse up quite fast but I managed to stick with it for a while. At the end I did a slower jog up the hill to my house, which gave my system a good final workout.

Before bed I checked on my boards and they are looking very nice indeed. I need to mark where my wall studs are so I can pin things in places that will hold them, dig out some of my rockwool so I can stuff the gaps behind the power sockets for thermal and sound insulation and then, unless I"ve missed something, I can start doing the finishing work around the windows.

Yo sup there! How are you? Today just relaxing inside since it’s too hot to go outside before hitting the bed tonight.

Did a quick walk and then ran out of energy and came back home to eat breakfast.

Going for a walk at some time this afternoon. I think my wife is planning on staying home - she isn't feeling great today and wants to take a rest. I want to keep my streak alive, I just need to decide whether to do the 5-mile or the 8-mile loop.

 

[Naiwen]

Hey sup all? I’ve just had my 3 hours weekly therapy and 1 hour GP appointment by phone. Tonight, I’m too exhausted to do anything else but rest in bed before falling asleep tonight.

 

[tango]

I think I need to re-lacquer my window sills. They sweat some stain while lying in the sun. It looked a bit weird, just like beads of sweat but brown like the stain. Apparently oak can do that - I'm glad I saw it before everything was secured into place. Once the sweating stops I'll run some fresh lacquer over them and then screw them into place.

We lost 3 pumpkins from the flooding after the tropical storm I'm sad by that and put pieces of wood underneath the 7 survivors. I won't be growing pumpkins next year.
