Got a meeting at church later today to discuss what we're doing on Sunday. Aside from that it's just more keeping on clearing stuff out of the house and figuring what to work on next.

Long meeting at church but very productive. Got some things to look into doing while we deal with everything being shut down.

Then the sun came out so went for a walk. This time our five mile walk involved seeing a whopping FOUR other people, although we did cross paths with the same person twice.

Whiling away some time before going for a walk. It's nice and sunny outside but a bit chilly for now. Still at the "second half of coffee" stage.

Nice walk in the sun, ran the mower over the front of the house afterwards. The back doesn't really need it yet but the front was getting tufty in places. Then had an ice cream sundae from a local place that's still open. Also sucked up some more drywall dust from the room that's almost rebuilt. I still need to figure how to get baseboards fitted and the wiring finished properly but once that's done I can get on with the final stages.

What it needs now is the rest of the dust to be cleaned up, the floor fixed/sanded and restained, window trim cut and fitted, baseboards cut and fitted, and the wiring completed. Later on I'll want to put a radiator in there but for now it's not needed - an electric heater will cope just fine now I've got the insulation sorted out.

Hoping that the wind dies down so we can burn some things out in the back yard. It looks like it might be a nice day and my husband is off work so I'll have a walking buddy.

I've got a growing pile of stuff I need to burn. I'm hoping to get some time today to haul a load of it out of the attic and take it out back. My burn barrel is showing signs of its age so that might need to be replaced soon. I have a very thick and heavy metal garbage can to use when it finally gives up the ghost, as long as I can find something strong enough to drill holes in it. This thing is so solid that when I lie it on its side and sit on the rim it doesn't give. If I bounce my entire body weight on it, it compresses by less than an inch and bounces back.

Good day today. Went for a walk with my wife, which was even quieter than usual. Today we only saw one other person walking on our loop and they were so far away they didn't even get a wave.

Then got a load of stuff sorted in the attic. A big pile of wood scraps that got cut up with my circular saw and bagged up ready to burn if the weather is suitable tomorrow, gathered up a load of other stuff that's regular garbage and needs to be out of the way, and cleaned up the pile of sawdust that cutting the wood scraps to length produced.

After dinner I've got some computer work to do. Maybe tomorrow I'll get busy with the final push to clean up the dust in the bedroom that's recently drywalled, and do something more permanent with the electrics. I'm not sure if my wood supplier is open these days, if he is I need to measure up and get some wood for new baseboards in there.

Drinking coffee, hoping the sky clears up so I can get out and burn a big pile of scrap wood. It's supposed to clear, I just don't want to start burning if it looks like it will rain some more.

If it stays as clear as the forecast says I'm going to go for my walk around town again. Not sure if my wife will join me - she likes to get out and walk in the fresh air as well but sometimes likes to take a day off. If she doesn't come I'll ramp up the speed a bit.

Got my walk in, stopping a few times along the way. We bumped into a couple we haven't seen in ages so chatted with them for longer than we spent walking. It was good to see them again. The sun came out brighter than I expected and I got some sunburn. Not looking forward to my next shower :(
