The weather didn't look promising today but I had a training workout scheduled so figured I'd go for it and hope for the best.
Running up gradients into the wind was difficult. Thankfully it wasn't a steep hill, just a steady gradient. I was glad I didn't have to run very far against gravity and the wind. This workout included a "magic mile" where you run a mile at a pace that's an effort but not a "run into the ground" effort. It came right after some cadence drills so it was a good job I checked my pace early on, as I started out much too fast and had to make an effort to slow down. The mile included some uphill and downhill sections and thankfully the wind was behind me for almost all of it.
Now I'm sitting in my recliner with my legs wondering what just happened to them, with a cup of coffee and a few crumbs on a plate as evidence that the delicious muffins my wife cooked while I was out once existed.
