We were thinking about the Secret Life of Pets 2 but we missed the showing.

It sounds cute. I saw the first one and it was slow at first but then got better.

Fun admin type stuff. I realised I haven't counted my stock in a while, so needed to do that to make sure what my system says I have matches what I actually have. Usually the higher value items match exactly, and the lower value items are very close. Where there's a discrepancy it usually means I forgot to update when I bought new stock. Occasionally I might have a mismatch because of a petty theft, or if I used something for myself and forgot to update the stock. The only concerning aspect was that I had one particular item (low value, thankfully) where my stock system said I had 15 and my manual count said I had 0. I'd love to know what happened to the missing 15. I'm wondering if I've got a hidden stash of them somewhere.

Enjoying the A/C since I was out for a bit having a "Starbucks" day. It was a pretty long week. I've had some vacation time and was active for most of it with some things that were planned near home. On top of that, an accident on Friday didn't help matters so I may be car shopping soon. No-one was hurt so that was the major thing. "Stuff" can be replaced.

Good night all, had a really late morning, skipping breakfast and going straight to lunch. After, be enjoying my afternoon. After coming home, be chilling online till dinner and resting tonight.

Pulled down some more wall and dismantled my shop vac. It's definitely dead. Something caused the motor to jam so that even after stripping the unit right down to the point I could get at the motor, I couldn't get it to turn. The amount of dust in the motor was remarkable - I hit it with some blasts of air from my compressor and a fog bank appeared, which was a nuisance. Thankfully a fan in the window got rid of that problem.

So now I need to find a filter for my new shop vac. A friend found it in the basement of a deceased relative's house and sold it to me. It's very old, but it seems to work. The downside is that because it's so old it's obsolete and finding parts for it is tricky. No matter, I can still work with it, I just need to sort a couple of bits out first. Truth be told for the price my friend wanted for it I don't mind if it blows up within a week because the accessories are worth most of the price.

What did you end up doing? It's too muggy here for a walk outside even so I don't envy you jogging out there.

I got my new shop vac strapped up to my basic separator. I'm not sure if the suction it has is too strong or if there's something else going on, but an awful lot of the finer dust is getting sucked into the vac rather than being captured by the separator. That rather defeats the point of having the separator. Maybe what I need to do is change the 90-degree elbow for a 45-degree elbow, with a view to forcing the fine dust below the lower baffle. Maybe that will help keep it in the separator and not the vac. I hope I don't end up having to cut another lower baffle with smaller spacing in it, it's a bit of a drag cutting circles out of thin plywood.

What did you end up doing? It's too muggy here for a walk outside even so I don't envy you jogging out there.

I ran for a little over half an hour outside. It was around 81 degrees when I left the house and ran around the neighborhood.

Can't sleep my mom wanted a supreme pizza and I always crave a cold soda but I'm sensitive to caffeine!
Not just that, I guess I'm a little worried, my mom got a call yesterday from her nurse saying that her results came in and her platelets are too low and she has to go to the ER in Houston (over and hour away) but they asked her to come in t 8am to see her doctor to do a transfusion, not sure what goes on with that so i pray everything goes smoothly.. It's such a bummer for her it's like she can never relax because something keeps coming up, but the doctors are the best! Her doctor actually went through stage 4 cancer and he is really dedicated to helping her beat this, so glad she's keeping her strength and doing the right thing for herself!
I'll let everyone knows how it goes, I'm suppose to work a double shift tomorrow but the way the nights going I might have to ask for someone to take them, last time i was so sleep deprived I nearly passed out in the kitchen so they sent me home, the drive home was no better I had to pull over and catch a power nap... anyway, im wide awake so I'm getting off this blue light phone and I'll try to get some sleep.

Prayers for your mom. It sounds like she has a good team taking care of her.
