So all this talk of flat earth...and then on a dedicated page, I discovered this (actually just the pic with the guy and glass jar/plant - then I found this pic later):

Guess what Strav did today?

Started my own small terrarium for some broccoli sprouts! I used a pretty large jar with a rubber seal on the lid. Once it starts going, I'll let it dry just a little then add nutrient water to the soil.

Mine would turn to mold if I tried it LOL

I want a garden too. I'm afraid though that the bottle won't survive longer than a week.
I made a garden on my balcony. I put grass seed in a 1×0,5m box on the ground so I thought the bunnies can eat that if it's grown up. I forgot that bunnies like to dig holes. The grass never came up.

LOL! I rarely drink and so I usually get lit up like the 4th of July when I do. I'm always afraid to read what I posted the next day, but my post last night in this thread was the worst of it, so it wasn't too bad.

A pedestal fan. A ceiling fan would take more than 15 minutes to assemble and install. I am not an electrician and one needs an electrician to install a fan of that kind. :)

You shouldn't need an electrician, they are pretty simple to install.

I'm chilling after a day spent fighting with multiple different plumbing issues. Firstly I had to fix a leak in the pipework under a sink in the kitchen, and while the pipes were dismantled I had to cut a piece of insulation board to fit at the end of the closet under the sink. Just getting at the space was an exercise in frustration.

Then once all that was done I had to identify why my bathroom sink wasn't draining, and remove the clog. That turned out to be a huge hairball in the section of pipe that runs under the floor. That was a bundle of fun.

The electrical projects remain outstanding...

That's stupid if they're too lazy to call back. Glad you got help online.

Oh my, the other house I rented, it was so old and filthy, every few months the toilet gave up and the bunch got over the floor. Once it was because one of my dear kids had thrown a ball in it. All this stuff you can throw in didn't work, call someone all the time was expensive, so my dad gave me a machine and then you had to remove the pot and all the *** came out but also out of the hole of the shower thing that was attached. Luckily I was married then with a great guy who said: here, let me go to the gas station to buy cleaner, then you can clean that up, because I can't handle the smell LOL. So glad I don't have that in this apartment anymore.

Swimming lessons and I ate fries with the oldest in the city. He didn't want to wait there an hour. Finally, that man called, they'll fix my bike tuesday. Thank goodness!

Do you like thin fries or really thick ones?

I prefer really crispy french fries.

I'm taking a break from knitting. I lost count of how many hats I've made for gifts!

First...I just love the new avatar, Lämmy!

I like crispy shoestring fries the best. The best ones are when the potato farmers in the area are harvesting, and one gent I've known since my days on the cattle ranch let's me stop by his farm and grab a bagful of fresh outta the ground spuds from his conveyer belt...I take 'em home, cut 'em up into really thin fries and fry 'em in peanut oil. Then I hit 'em with some salt and Datil dust, and I'm one happy southerner.

Chilling ready for bed. No plumbing issues today, no electrical issues to deal with, just a potential problem with my car that turned out to be an underinflated spare tire.

Had a bit of fun putting some rifle shells through my ultrasonic cleaner. It's remarkable how a dirty spent rifle shell can gleam once it's been cleaned.

Both, I need variation. The Mac Donalds always has French fries. I had those a bit too much though, so at the moment I like bigger ones more.
