So are we free to steal, commit adultery, and murder each other and sin to the utmost. Hmm...
Of course not, did I say that?

Not all laws in the OT (there are over 600 of them) are MORAL laws. If you insist that all 600+ of these are still binding, then you need to be sacrificing in a temple and there's very exact mandates for what your priest must wear....

I'd be more interested if you quoted a Scripture that states, "Thou canst worship only and exclusively on SATURDAY." Or "It is a sin to worship on any day other than Saturday." But I'd still be open to the issue of whether that is ceremonial law ir moral law.... and still wonder if the New Covenant rule that days and festivals are not binding now applies.

Friend, no one on the planet cares if you choose to have public worship services at your assembly on Saturdays. Only if you claim that 99% of Christians for some 2000 years are sinning by worshipping on other days (I worship EVERY DAY which would make me a really bad sinner under that).

The word "Sabbath" means "to set aside for holy".

I think of the account of Jesus visiting Mary and Martha..... for Martha, Jesus meant nothing, she returned to busy-ness. For Mary, it meant she stopped what she was doing and knelt at the feet of Jesus, listening to Him. Point: We need Sabboth, we need to stop the PLETHORA of stuff we do and address (much of it GOOD) and kneel at the feet of Jesus, who is HERE with us (the Immanuel).

In the New Covenant, I don't think this is something isolated to 24 hours - that it can ONLY be done during those 24 hours and all 24 hours can ONLY be that. I think every day is a day for Sabboth. I purposely set time aside EVERY day focus exclusively on Jesus. I have devotions and prayer in the morning and again at night. I read from the Bible EVERY day. I gather with others for study/support/prayer/fellowship twice a week in addition to formal, public worship on Sunday. Yeah, I need to work and shower and 100 other things (yes, Marthas must exist - we all must be a Martha at times) BUT we need to embrace Sabbath - and set aside ALL to focus on God. By the way "Fasting" means essentially the same thing, to set something aside so that we can focus more exclusively on God.

Don't you hate it when people do that?

The minute we see any reply beginning with "So...." we know it's probably going to be the opposite of what we actually wrote. -_-

Well, look at what Jesus said...

Matthew 19:16-17 King James Version (KJV)
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mark 10:17-20 King James Version (KJV)
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

I think what He said on the Law is clear...

The reason the man said "good" was because he was attributing the original state of sin that man knows what is good and bad.. thus Jesus said to trust in God who is only Good.
