In Scotland there are many graves with the names all crossed off of the gravestones because the son of a Lord fueding with the daugther of another Lord were wed. All of the records were erased and all the treasures of castles were locked away within government funds. A fortune was accumulated there. My aunt once hired detectives to find some way to get to the money but to no avail.
