It was pretty chilly out today. I swapped out my T-shirt for one of my tops with wind proofing across the torso. I have two of them but the zipper is jammed on one. I hope I can fix it (or find someone to fix/replace the zip), those tops are expensive.
I walk around all day at Walmart....does that count as a workout? Lol![]()
Well today is even colder...brr!! It's only 29 this morning and probably will only be 40 for a high. My husband is off work today and wants to go hiking, but I need to think about which places would be warmest. If it's windy we need trees to shield us, but if it's not, then we need sun.
I walked in the howling winds, although I put some extra layers on first. Yesterday I ran in a windproof top, today I walked in three layers. The wind was pretty intense for the most exposed parts of the route, but still not as cold as the worst of last winter.
Brave you! We tried going to the park to walk yesterday, but wow, we could only do a mile because the conditions were a little too scary with the wind and I was freezing.
Some of my route is shielded from the wind. Much of it is very exposed. Last year there were days when I was walking into 50mph wind gusts and wrapped in half a dozen layers. That really wasn't much fun.
You're dedicated, that's for sure! I tend to wimp out at times.
A walk today in howling winds. My weather app said the gusts were 43mph and I believe it.
We walked in the winds too...it was really difficult to move forward!! Today it's less windy and we're going to the trails near the dam to walk, about 4 miles.
Really badly disturbed night last night so I was happy to take an easier run today. 4 miles, then I walked the last mile or so for a cool down. No wind so I would have liked to go harder but I felt like my legs had very little to give.
Aw, maybe a day of rest is needed?
