All of us here who are Christian say that we believe what the bible states.

If you reject the trinity or what is written in the Statement of Faith for this site, you shall not post in the Christian Theology or Christian Debate forums. That is the decision of the site owner.

im really not sure what you are on about . no one has reject the godhead -I began posting in this thread by quoting it .
the man made phrase of " Jesus is 100% God and 100% man at the same time" is not a biblical phrase and is open to discussion ,
but its ok, since you have no interest in discussing it we will- End it here .

way to close down a dialogue .

In that case we are not agreed because it is not any man who says that Jesus is God but one man who is in heaven and who came from heaven said it [SUP]Romans 9:5[/SUP] and the faithful know his voice [SUP]John 10:4[/SUP] and know he speaks true [SUP]John 18:37[/SUP]. But some who pretend to be scrupulous to obey the holy scriptures twist them and wrest their meaning with their own private interpretations [SUP]2Peter 1:20-21[/SUP] and seek thereby to corrupt the saints of God [SUP]Matthew 24:24[/SUP]. They - like the devil of old - say "has God said?" [SUP]Gen 3:1[/SUP] and then when they are informed accurately of what God said they reply "Surely that is not so" [SUP]Gen 3:4-5[/SUP] thus do they seek to ensnare the faithful with cunningly conceived fables and lies [SUP]2Peter 1:16[/SUP] all the while smoothly and soothingly assuring their duped followers that they speak only what God speaks. The holy scriptures warn the faithful that the devil comes dressed in beautiful garb as if he were a servant of the light [SUP]2Cor 11:14[/SUP] and so seeks to deceive - if it were possible - the elect of God [SUP]Matthew 24:24[/SUP].
What about cunningly conceived fables?

Who is guilty of such fables?

qeothtos
theotEtos = deity fullness of god / godhead . same same .

and the phrase states IN him is downhoming (dwelling )entire the filling (complement ) of the theotEtos (deity ) .
So we see in every aspect it is dwelling IN and filing . what is he dwelling in and filing ?

again, no one is attacking your obvious predetermined stance . bjut your predetermined stance has you bound up.

the words 100%nam and 100% god at the same time - not in there at all .

Now the root of the problem is revealed - you are using the wrong bible! The real bible says ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ κατοικεῖ πᾶν τὸ πλήρωμα τῆς θεότητος σωματικῶς, καὶ ἐστὲ ἐν αὐτῷ πεπληρωμένοι, ὅς ἐστιν ἡ κεφαλὴ πάσης ἀρχῆς καὶ ἐξουσίας, which when translated into English is "In him, in bodily form, lives divinity in all its fullness, and in him you too find your own fulfilment, in the one who is the head of every sovereignty and ruling force." [SUP]Colossians 2:9-10[/SUP]

Yes .In him . what ever version you tried to use changed nothing in this case.
The fullness came and dwelt "In" him.

I sense there is an agenda in the stance of defending a man made phrase.because denying the man made phrase will undermine other man made fables certain denominations impose .

fullness means 100%, right? So the man Jesus Christ [SUP]1Tim 2:5[/SUP] is also the fullness of divinity [SUP]Col 2:9-10 [/SUP]thus 100% man and 100% God. It's simple!

:)

Semantics? There are a lot of words we use in our language that is not in the bible yet still are accurate for describing.

He was both but He also laid aside all His position and power in order to be our perfect sacrifice as man, if not then He did nothing as God cannot be tempted but man and can be and we know that Jesus was tempted

So you believe he stopped being fully God and was only fully man at some point? Laying aside does not mean He's no longer God. He's always been God. He always will be God. He became man after Mary conceived. He died but was resurrected and still is man. And still is God.

well... IMO... He did not lay aside His Divinity but merely all the privileges of such. I suspect that's what you mean, Bill? Jesus was ALWAYS fully GOD and always fully man: 100% both, all the time.

I am told by some that some of the leading light teachers in the Word of faith movement teach exactly that God the Son surrendered his Godship when Jesus was incarnate. I've watched and heard Kenneth Copeland say something that sounded like that but I cannot be sure what Mr Copeland's words really mean because (a little like Donald Trump) Mr Copeland makes outrageous statements to draw attention and when asked at some later time what he meant by such and such the explanations given are very different from the attention getting statements.

Let me ask you this, when tempted ws He God? If so how was He tempted when it says that God cannot be tempted, also did He redeem man or God?

Psalms 91, Jesus is always God and since the incarnation he is always a man. He is now the everlasting man. And when Jesus was tempted in the wilderness he was God. That is what I believe.

Then how could that be since God cannot be tempted?

Didn't Jesus say "you shall not tempt the Lord your God"? [SUP]Matt 4:7[/SUP] He was quoting the Law [SUP]Deut 6:16[/SUP]. I think that God can be tempted [SUP]Acts 15:10[/SUP] yet never do wrong just as Jesus was tempted and did no wrong.

and if God then satan has a right to say that it wasnt fair because despite your previous post God is good and cannot sin and if Jesus had accepted any of the temptations He would have sinned so if God cannot sin then that wasnt a very fair test was it
