I'm watching a video by Sam Harris on the election of Trump, and one of his points is that we just have to hope that Trump lied about how horrible a person he is. That he simply played the part of a loose cannon bigoted misogynist just to get the votes of those who feel alienated by all the political correctness. I don't know if I buy it, but it is food for thought...or wishful thinking.

Taking Donald at face value from his statements in debate and twitter and in his campaign speeches is a kinder perspective. Yet no matter what spin one applies to Donald Trump's statements, motives, plans, ability to hear and accept sound advice he turns up as crooked Donald Trump who ought to be impeached.

Sadly, in a nation permeated by ignorance and denial of science, ignorance of foreign policies and economics, I don't see that happening anytime soon. However, this is a good time for democrats to regroup and analyze everything they did wrong and use this as a moment of learning, and not to become disenfranchised but to redouble efforts and let everyone know we're still here.
