So I've never really read the bible except for maybe a couple of pages. What's the best way to read it? It's so big! Should I start with an audio book or app? If so what do people recommend?

If you've never really read it, I'd suggest starting with the gospels. Maybe read Mark first and then John. Then look at some of Paul's letters, and Acts. Once you've got a bit of a handle on the New Testament, look at some of the Old Testament and see how the OT points forward to what the NT describes.

I would at least start with the beginning of Genesis. That way you KNOW exactly why we need a Savior, and then move onto the New Testament if you don't have time to go through too much else of the OT. I like the book of Romans because it really speaks about salvation.

I make a list of all the books of the Bible and then make it a goal to read at least four chapters a day. I just mark them off as I go. Usually I start with the smaller books first. You can combine books or do one book at a time. If you do that even if you miss some days you will read it through in less than a year

What ever you do, get on a daily reading program. Apps work really good for that. They send over scriptures everyday and you read them. A lot of them have little mini Bible studies about the scriptures of the day. That way you develop a daily reading habit. Most all Bible reading apps and programs will complete the entire Bible in one year. Usually around 2 chapters per day to accomplish that.

When you adopt a plan like that, you habitually read the Bible everyday, which is one of the greatest habits ever. You will find that habit to be life changing!
