I agree! I was shocked at the register back in October when my grocery bill went up by $40 and I had never paid that much before. Even with my daughter and her guinea pigs moving in I could control the spending. But I can't control when the stores raise everything ...even a quarter on every item will add up to a big figure! Now I have to be even more conscience of the sales.

I have spent about 150.00 on food in the past 2 weeks! Going to have to cut down on food.

I try to buy things when on sale and meat I do in bulk when a good sale is going on. I normally pay about 2.29 a pound for ground beef and sometimes I can get it cheaper, about a dollar 49 for pork loins and around 99 cents for chicken breast and legs I can get for 49 cents a pound many times.

Suzy and I went to the Vet this morning. Prescribed Flagyl for the diarrhea. The Vet taught me about how to introduce a new food, giving yogurt, and was very helpful. Her weight is stable so that's good.
