When will God have mercy on me? I have been waiting for him to treat me better but I am all beat up.

That's a great comment Lammchen. The road of a Christian is an adventure to say the least isn't it? Mountain top experiences are usually followed immediately with the opportunity to walk the experience in lonely valleys. I can remember a smile from a stranger being a consoling moment in an otherwise bleak day. I like that saying from Leo Buscaglia "A single rose can be my garden, a single friend my world"I do not know God's plan for you but it's hard to see good when you're feeling so worn down. The book of Job sometimes is a comfort since he went through some really bad things in life.
The sad thing is we weren't promised a happy life here on earth but the joy is what comes from knowing that we have a Savior who died for our sins.
Take a look at the things happening and try to see if there isn't even one happy moment for you? I bet there are things you have overlooked? A kind word from a friend? A hug from a family member? A puppy licking your face? I'm grasping here but even going for a walk and not tripping can be a blessing.

I will try harder to see his mercy but I was hoping he would treat me the same as I see he treats my friends who have everything given to them.

Anyway, I just got on here to post this ... I had no idea how well it fit with the topic. Have a great day ya'llI rather feel sorry for people who need things to promote God to them. What I mean by that is too often those who have been blessed with material things are not able to maintain a proper relationship with the Lord if those things are removed from them, they feel that God has also abandoned them. Old Testament was about God showing His blessing materially but that's not the case in the New Testament. The disciples needed to learn the discipline of having the Lord being present with them in a non-material way. They needed to feel not see His presence and to carry on whether they could feel it or not. My thought is that those who are truly blessed are well the poor, because they can actually see God. With or without material blessings.
