Evil Spiritual Gifts

We all know Satan will do anything to attempt to bring down God and Christians. One way I've heard is through his version of evil Spiritual Gifts. Do these exist?

I would more than likely think so as the argument of good and bad can be thrown it, and say that his gifts are a mockery of the Spiritual Gifts of God.

Of course there are evil spiritual manifestation of power. I refuse to call that gifts. Have you ever heard of the occult? Scientology? What about astral projection? What about David Blaine? Necromancy? I could go on and on but you get it.

I always wondered in Exodus 7 with Moses and Aaron where Aaron threw down his staff and it became a serpent and then the wise men, sorcerers and magicians did the same thing...if the wise men, sorcerers and magicians had received evil gifts?

Of course there are evil spiritual manifestation of power. I refuse to call that gifts. Have you ever heard of the occult? Scientology? What about astral projection? What about David Blaine? Necromancy? I could go on and on but you get it.

Satan tries to be a god to mankind to lure man away from the one true Lord and Savior so of course it makes sense he would bless people with evil gifts. These evil gifts can look like the ones people claim are from God yet no glory is given to Him. These gifts shower man with praises making Satan happy and luring people from God's forgiveness.

I don't know that I'd call them evil spiritual gifts but certainly the occult is very real. The Bible talks of false prophets performing lying signs and wonders and you don't have to look very far to see occult activity. Having been involved in it myself in the past I can attest to at least some of what can be done with demonic power. Without going into great detail I've seen things that roughly parallel the gifts of tongues, healing and prophecy as well as a few other things that probably most closely match "working of miracles", even if the "miracles" weren't too great for the person on the receiving end.

Well one way to know is if or how they use thee name of Jesus Christ if Nazareth. There is an example in Acts.
Acts 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

They were counterfeit and the demon knew they did not have the Holy Ghost's power to cast it out.

The duration of a healing isn't necessarily a useful guide to the source of the healing.

Back in the days I was involved in the occult I had a friend who used to hang out with a group that seemed to spend a lot of time talking about the paranormal and supernatural. A couple of times he invited me to join them as he knew I was into "that sort of thing" but due to calendar conflicts I never actually went. One day he and I were hanging out and he complained of stabbing pains in his abdomen. I remember looking at him and instinctively knowing where the pain was, reaching out and putting a finger on it. He was surprised that I could tell exactly where it was, and even more surprised when the pain just faded away and disappeared as if I'd just turned a volume control down to silent. I don't know what had caused it but it went away and as far as I know it never returned.

Anyone who knew me at the time would know it was nothing to do with God, and if anyone asked what power I used to do that sort of thing I generally made no secret that it was the occult and not God. The trickier test is whether the people who claim to be acting on God's behalf really are.

Most 'gifts' we see today are certainly manifestations of the Evil One.

It's the greatest deception. How better to lead the faithful away than to disguise deception drawing them away as worship.

Look at what passes for tongues today. It's about as Biblical as the Quran.

Satan knows how to deceive the best of them though, so I really don't buy into if you were in tune business. Satan's had more practice and we still have sinful bodies that listen to him.

True and thus not fully in tune. The closer we get to God and the more we see the spirit realm the more real it becomes until this earth seems more unreal than the spirituyal

No I am not there yet but I do know that the spiritual realm is more real than this earthly realm and there is nothing that happens on earth that is not manifested in the spiritual first. Remember that there is war in the heavenlies and our battle is not with flesh and blood but spirit,
