No, I do not have any tattoos. I want to get one for my arms, but I do not want to decide that I'll later regret it. Removal of a Tatto can be excruciating and expensive for the wallet.

When I was in high school from 1980-1984 I can't recall any high school students having a tattoo. The only people I knew who had tattoos back then were either bikers, convicts or people serving in the military. Today, tattoos are very common. Even among high school students.

When our youngest daughter was in her teens she went through a terrifying period of mental illness. My wife said that if she ever emerged from this it will be like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. We agreed on the spot to get a tattoo when that happened. We each have a butterfly tattoo just above our heart and our daughter is completely well for the last 15 years.

I haven't got any at the moment but I do have plans to get a few tattoos at some point. Hoping to get my first done at the end of this year when hopefully all this COVID stuff is less of an issue.

Sure everyone has tattoos.

God at creation put them in us.
To let the shock wear off some, I will start with just my favorite.
Tattoos for life or maybe for corrections in our lives.

The hidden man of the heart:
The natural pacemaker (nerve network) that controls our heart muscles.
Wikipedia (conduction system of the heart).

it looks like a crucified man reaching out to touch the top two chambers with spike marred hands, and the bottom two chambers with spike marred feet.

The man is marred beyond looking like a man.
All his bones are out of joint
The head is the AV&SA nodes doing the heartbeat regulation (swollen by crown of thorns)

He directs the desperately wicked and deceitful heart to beat.

Placed on an arm we would call it a tattoo. Hidden inside us it is out of view. This does not mean Jesus is inside us, but he sure wants to be.

Lots of scriptures to describe all this.

Warning. Some really idle thoughts follow. ;)

1. I almost never see a tattoo on someone's arm or neck or ankle that I can identify. They seem always to be intricate and indistinct patterns that send no recognizable message.

2. But if the idea is that the owner of the tattoo wants to memorialize something or have it be continually present for his own benefit...why is permanently painting it in one's skin be superior to carrying a picture in your wallet, getting something like a vanity license plate, or having a display of some sort in the home, etc.?
