Theoretically. However, the House of Congress would impeach him and the Senate would put him on trial and remove him from office. Once that happened he would no longer be President and would have no power of the pardon.
You have to love the checks and balances the founding fathers put into the US Constitution.
Absolutely right. I reckon the gentlemen at the Constitutional Convention must have really learned how dangerous a monarchy could be to the welfare of the people and took appropriate steps to keep from following down that absolutist path.
