    Favorite Sunday School Memory

Seriously? A user posts in an area he is allowed, to follow up a post in an area he's excluded from and you think that's deceptive? Perish the thought a non-Christian might have a memory to share about his childhood. Let's also not pretend that every church is "genuine, innocent, without...

    Sex in schools

I'd say there's no need for young children to know about that sort of thing. There's plenty of time for it when they are older - a 7-year-old really doesn't need to know the details of how they came to be and the different variations of sexual activity different people might enjoy.

    The first thing you’d sell

The gold bar I use as a doorstop. Seriously, I wouldn't sell that (largely because it doesn't actually exist). I'm not sure what I'd sell - it's probably safe to say that most things I have that would fetch money fast are things I wouldn't want to sell because I use them. Things I don't use as...

    More or Less Technology?

Hard to say. In many ways I'd opt for less, although that option makes little sense because in theory it's easy enough to simply use less technology. It would be nice to be back in a world where people interacted with each other rather than their phones.

    Your Kitchen Stove

Ours is an old electric thing. For the most part it works fine but one of the burners has an intermittent connection. We haven't replaced it because somewhere down the line, hopefully within the life span of a new stove, we hope to gut and rebuild the entire kitchen. I don't really want the cost...

    What type of noise

You can get Bluetooth keyboards that essentially project a light image onto whatever surface you care to use. There will always be some noise but not necessarily the clicking of a regular keyboard.

How many stairs does your home have?

Too many. Every outside door has at least 2-3 steps leading to it and we have four internal staircases. That's not including the slightly high steps between rooms in the basement. Needless to say our house isn't very wheelchair friendly.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Harder run today. I wasn't feeling on top form having not had a brilliant night but my tracker software had a challenge to complete a longer run this month so I figured I'd at least have a stab at it before it gets any warmer. I needed a few walk breaks, more than I'd hoped, but I did 9.7 miles...

    Still with parent's denomination?

I've never really identified with a particular denomination. I usually figure I probably won't agree with everything that any particular church teaches but as long as there are no show stoppers or unacceptable issues with the church I'll be OK there.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Got another run in today. I wasn't really feeling it when I set off but managed an OK pace. The heat wore me down more than I expected so I needed a couple of walk breaks but all in all it was pretty good. Given the pace I managed my legs don't feel like they worked particularly hard, although...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 8

Oh yes, with gas north of $5/gallon I'm so glad we don't have mean tweets any more.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

It's important to listen to your body, especially when you're healing. My 11 miles was in two stints - a 5 mile walk and a 5 mile run, with the balance being generally moving around the house.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

This morning I went for a walk with my wife, then this evening she decided to skip her evening fitness class. I'd planned to get some harder exercise while she was out so went for a run anyway. My tracker says I've done 11.1 miles today.

    Tips to save on gas/petrol

If you really want to save gas consider driving below the speed limit. Where the limit is 70 or 80 you'll get better gas mileage if you cruise at 60 or even 55. It just depends on how you want to balance saving gas against getting there quickly.

    Tips to save on gas/petrol

Drive sedately. Of course the best way to save petrol is not to drive at all, although that's not always an option. But when I see someone get in their car and drive 50 yards only to park again it's hard to have much sympathy for the fuel they use. Unless you're disabled you can walk 50 yards...
