    Favorite beer or brewery?

I have a glass of wine on Mondays, and communion wine in the mass. But I am not much of a drinker and I've never been drunk :)

God gave the feasts to Israel not to Christians under the new covenant.

Isn't Exodus 12:14 about the feast of unleavened bread? It lasted seven days. But before the unleavened bread came the sacrifice of the passover lamb - a male lamb, a yearling, sacrificially clean and unspotted, that was killed and eaten by the Israelites. Like the holy scriptures say: "The LORD...

The Official Chat Thread - Part 2

The mass is ageless, always the same and always new. It is the work of God done by the faithful on earth for the sake of the souls of all Christians in every place and every time.

Justification: By OUR works or CHRIST'S works?

The holy scriptures say otherwise. One of the most loved books in the new testament is saint Paul's letter to the Romans.

    Interesting pocket watches ... cheap

I think it looks nice. It's a mechanical movement watch. No batteries needed. I do not know how long it would last. Maybe a few weeks or months or many it would last for years. The pocket watch whose image I included at the start of this thread was bought in San Francisco in 2000 for around $7...

The group in the Temple [Rev 11:1] Who are they?

That is said in 1 John 2:7 and in 2 John 1:5. A command to love one another cannot be new in any objective sense because God is Love and God is eternal and unchanged by time. He is Love and always has been. The command is new and revolutionary because it supersedes and fulfils all the old...

Our constitution makes provisions for it but I am not sure if yours does.

God gave the feasts to Israel not to Christians under the new covenant.

I prefer to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and not rely on feasts that involve the old priesthood and killing sheep, goats, bulls and other sacrificially clean animals.

The group in the Temple [Rev 11:1] Who are they?

No, it is saint John the Theologian who says that it is in 2 John 1:5 and 1 John 2:8 and the Lord Jesus Christ says that it is: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." (John 13:34)

    Interesting pocket watches ... cheap

It depends on if it is paid for the watch version of excrement or for a useful watch :) Would you pay $21.62 for a watch that looks like this

God gave the feasts to Israel not to Christians under the new covenant.

1 Corinthians 5:7 Christ our passover] Meyer here remarks that St Paul regards Christ as having been slain on the day of the Paschal Feast. We may add that he also explains how the Last Supper was called by Christ a Passover (St Luke 22:15). For in truth it was a real Passover, though not the...

    Tales of an Australian election...

Australia changed Prime minister last year. The previous incumbent (Tony Abbot) was thrown out by his own party. His replacement (Malcolm Turnbull) is glib and well spoken and not very convincing. The public has lost their liking for him and his popularity is declining. His opponents now appear...

It's all a pretence ... No one keeps the feasts of Jehovah today.

We do the memorial every time we celebrate mass and n my parish that is every day. Christ is himself our passover. "Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For...
