REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT: US vs THEM (the L of TULIP)

So those who are not 'predestined to faith', Christ died for? So how does one obtain eternal life, without Christ dying for their sin? One is a contradiction of human logic, where the Trinity goes beyond human logic. Ok, He died for all, but chooses some. Makes sense (tongue in cheek) Yes...

REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT: US vs THEM (the L of TULIP)

So are you saying your 'theory/interpretation' is true while many other theories are lacking because they lack mutual agreement? I don't believe I ever said we know who are the elect. God knows who are His...we don't with any kind of certainty. Yes, Calvinism isn't necessary to believe to be...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

No.But i believe those who Christ died for will come to faith (in time) and THEN be justified through that faith alone.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Is someone compelling you? You're free not to listen.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Because God knows the beginning from the end and He knows who He has elected (chosen) before time... but man does not know who.

REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT: US vs THEM (the L of TULIP)

IOW, only the elect are saved, known only by God before the foundation of the world. Therefore, in time, during His Incarnation, He died knowing whom the Father had given Him. His death was for the elect. But then again you placed a big IF before predestination. Why? Your answering for Josiah...

REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT: US vs THEM (the L of TULIP)

So you are trying to say that Jesus died for all, but predestined some to faith? What in the world does that mean? Faith in what/who? God regenerates those who He predestined to faith only to allow them to walk away? That doesn't sound like any kind of predestinated faith to me. Acts 13:48 ESV...

REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT: US vs THEM (the L of TULIP)

How in the world do you separate faith from the cross? Can you separate Christ from His Work? Do you have Scriptural backup for your statement? "Predestination refers to the gift of faith, not the Cross."? And even if predestination refers to faith, it would still leave us with limited...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

@prism said, "How would you know who Christ died for, until faith has been manifested?" Thx, I'll run with that. I understand people are justified in God's sight before they believe, but I wanted something more tangible.

REDEMPTION/ATONEMENT: US vs THEM (the L of TULIP)

If some are predestinated to life, it seems to be a moot point to argue that Christ died for all unless one is willing to ludicrously say that God predestined all.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Romans 4:5-8 NASB95 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, [6] just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: [7] "Blessed ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Or would you say, 'all those who are justified, by that fact alone, are the ones Chtist died for? I would.

    Rev. Calvin Robinson

I was speaking of their 'cream of the crop', perhaps not as irrelevant as one might think.

    Rev. Calvin Robinson

I find it hard to listen to the liberal side of things when one of their own Justices can't tell us the difference between a man and a woman...and they're going to educate us on homosexuality? Pleeze.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

I don't know enough to say they are for or against OSAS. My brush with charsmatics is they lean towards Holiness Movement/Perfectionism and thus one can 'lose their salvation'. (not all believe this) Much of the problem stems from the fact that it was not their salvation in the first place but...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Are you against evolutionists as much as you are against Calvinistic teachings? IMHO, it has wrecked far more lives, blinded many more people, and has been the instrumental cause of many entering the portals of hell.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Where did Calvin say that "God took away his humanity"? I would love to read that in context. In a sense God took away our (broken) humanity and nailed it to the Cross. What do you do with many 'Calvinists' who were driven to poverty in their building and support of orphanages and hospitals...

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

That would be 'guilt by association'. We are Protestants, Protestants have killed Catholics. So by that logic, we ought to go back to Rome.

Who is "him that justifieth the ungodly"?

Yup, the NAR movement is a den of vipers and makes Derek Prince look like a Garter snake in comparison.
