The book of Esther is never quoted in the New Testament, nor alluded to, therefore Esther is an apocryphal work of fiction?

All modern translations even from Wycliffe come from Jerome's translated version. Since you seem so anti Septuagint and you want the correct 100% masoretic guess what... Mary would have been "maiden" not "a virgin" Before Jerome the Latin OT was the LXX, Jerome made a hybrid of LXX mixed with...

Jerome's translation is the translation you read now so obviously he did have an impact on the church up to this day

The book of Esther is never quoted in the New Testament, nor alluded to, therefore Esther is an apocryphal work of fiction?

'None' because there was no church? Or 'none' because the church had no scripture? If they had no scripture then why does Clement of Rome (a gentile) have so much knowledge of the Old Testament in the first century? We know Clement was a gentile because he believed in a literal Phoenix due to...

The book of Esther is never quoted in the New Testament, nor alluded to, therefore Esther is an apocryphal work of fiction?

I believe our Sovereign God prepared the gentile world with His inherent Word just in time of for the coming of the Messiah.. I don't believe that God's Word magically became God's Word when a bunch of dudes in a room decided to.. Read some ante Nicene Church fathers (literally Bishops and...

    Non-economic costs of lockdowns

Wow, how sad :( I'm betting these people aren't very Christian, and therein lies the affirmation that ungodliness is destructive.. I haven't dated since I've become Christian because every girl I find interest in is an atheist, the nice Christian girls my age have been happily married for years...

The book of Esther is never quoted in the New Testament, nor alluded to, therefore Esther is an apocryphal work of fiction?

Yes but the only miracles we know of God are from the bible... I was recently speaking to a Jewish friend who told me that they regard the Torah and the Talmud over the prophets, wisdom books etc (the Tanakh outside the Torah).. So when Jerome went to Bethlehem to study under the Rabbis there...

The book of Esther is never quoted in the New Testament, nor alluded to, therefore Esther is an apocryphal work of fiction?

Jews read Maccabees every Hanukkah because it's such an awesome history book, Jesus liked this history book so much so that he celebrated the apparent God given miracle in it.. He even relates himself to the "light" when the Jews approached him during this celebration. Excellent history book!! ;)

Were the prophecies mentioned in Revelation fulfilled in the 1rst Century?

@New Age Outlaw Paul also indicates that in denying the physical resurrection is yet to come you likewise deny the physical resurrection of Christ from the grave.. didn't a Jesuit spark the ideas adopted by preterist for their counter reformation? Anyway, even the Pharisees believed in the...

Were the prophecies mentioned in Revelation fulfilled in the 1rst Century?

His flesh was not corrupt though, nor Spirit, that's the key point of His resurrection and the resurrection of all believers! How can a preterist excuse this most important detail with "well, we don't know what happened to his flesh"?? His body was not found in the empty tomb, he was physically...

On lockdown, 7 cases and many pending.. Got a workers permit for work and back, only grocery and food pick ups, medical of course. Local clerk gives heads up that alcohol and and tobacco are halting deliveries.. as we all know prohibition caused many problems in the past, not sure if this is legit.
