    Atpollard why do you call our early Church fathers teachings a "theology"? They had nothing but the Septuagint which included so called "additions" to books and a few others plus the "norm of norms" I wouldn't call that a "theology" but recorded history of what our first Christians believed.

    No, Jerome was commissioned by the Pope to create a correct OT because the Jews kept saying we had the wrong books, so he went to Bethlehem and studied under the Jews who convinced him that the Septuagint was corrupt and they have the right books.
