    A P O C R Y P H A : Included in every Holy Bible from the 4th century AD to the 19th Century AD

16th Century Protestants used Catholic Latin Bibles and later made some translations for themselves. That is why their translations had the 73 canonical books in them - arranged to suit Protestant tastes, of course.

It is Sunday for me right now. It will be Saturday for North Americans right now. Is it Sabbath - 7th Day - right now?

    A P O C R Y P H A : Included in every Holy Bible from the 4th century AD to the 19th Century AD

I had a discussion with a group of Jehovah's witnesses on discord. They were mostly young, later teens to 30s. It was interesting to discuss the extent of the canon with them and hear their perspectives. It is a question not often addressed in their literature. Consequently their analysis and...

    Common Figure of Speech?

This matter was never a point of contention in my circles. "Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth", seems to be a cause of concern for some people. Some propose a Wednesday crucifixion with a Saturday resurrection. But that's a theory to which only a few subscribe. But you're an...

    A P O C R Y P H A : Included in every Holy Bible from the 4th century AD to the 19th Century AD

    Do we need prophets today?

Some might say we have prophets in the scriptures. Some may want prophets now because prophets are in the bible. Capitalists want profits now! Many churches with prophets have them for profits sake.

    Is Sabbath, Saturday or Sunday.

For me it is Sunday and 1st day when it is, for North Americans, Saturday and 7th day. But it is the same time objectively speaking. The self same moments in the universe. So is it Sabbath for the whole of creation Or just for a locale - like Jerusalem? If all this Sabbath talk is about the...

    A simple question

I do hope that Imaginary Day is well. I'd like him to reply to my elderly posts from 2019. He's a good guy, one of the people here that I like.

How pagan festival of Easter was used against the Sabbath

I think that German has a word similar to Easter for Easter, it's "ostern". Italy and most other southern European nations have Pascha or similar.

How pagan festival of Easter was used against the Sabbath

If saint Paul is an ecclesiastical writer then he suggested first day worship was happening. Maybe he doesn't count. Not fitting the proposed theory makes saint Paul inconvenient I guess.

Looking back, quite a few were closed in 2020 and some in 2021 ... maybe some in 2022 too. Let's see what the rest of the 20s bring.

;-) you know it will not end there. It never does. Of course you can end it there as far as your typing effort goes. The SDA chap probably will not, if he/she returns.
