    The Simple Original Apostolic Gospel

Perhaps. But as there were no ideas posited by you that cannot be examined and concluded. Perhaps; however, this approach wasn't agreed on, so "we" (i.e. you) offered the alternative. I stand by my original challenge, hence this thread. Perhaps it could be practical. Seeing as how MoreCoffee...

    "widdo puppy-pie boo-boo..."? :D

Of course we must then make clear the Catholic enterprise at heart - a rejection of what the Protestant church teaches and does. Luther wasn't treated so kindly. We observed in another thread that Luther was entreated to come back to the faith and he would be treated well, but if not... Well, we...

I agree. This is a point (ordination of women) where I come out on the other side. I was raised Presbyterian (PCUSA), and even though our congregation was quite on the conservative side, we accepted women as Pastors - most quite effective. So the issue of error/heresy on this point is less clear...

    Anglican origins, claims, theology.

This brings up again the issue of 'heresy' and 'error' brought up in another thread. I'm not wanting to divert into another "rabbit trail" with the point, but it ought to be noted.
  6. ImaginaryDay2

    Anglican origins, claims, theology.

Show me where this "ridiculous" claim (as you've stated it above) was made. Certainly it would be ridiculous to claim such a thing, and you concluding that suggests a misunderstanding of what was stated

Shall I just tell you (an Anglican) plainly that the Anglican church has its origins in the Church of England? (rhetorical) smh...

    Anglican origins, claims, theology.

Conflating the history of Anglican Church/Church of England with the presence of Christians in Britain was not my doing in this thread. The re-write was begun by you By this, are you meaning to equate the Anglican church/Church of England with the presence of Christians in Britain? If so, then...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 6

One game of solitaire, then back to training :)
  10. ImaginaryDay2

    Anglican origins, claims, theology.

Agreed; and such is the case with the churches of England and all of Europe (small 'c'). It may be possible to date the presence of Christians in general in a certain locale, and the movements that brought them there; however, dating the Church of England, the Anglican communion, and those...

    Anglican origins, claims, theology.

Not as long as Anglican history is still germane to the OP of this thread. It's a valid discussion point. Anglican theology was ably introduced by Josiah, which is appreciated as well, and also goes to the OP

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 6

At a training I was rather looking forward to, but it's really quite dull and full of information I already know. This s day two. At least I'm getting paid, but it's an hour drive from home :/

I'd assumed it was "origins, claims, and theology". If we are dropping the "origins" piece, then I will leave it alone. Apologies

What are you listening to? - Part 2

Hey man, what's the plan, what was that you said? Sun-tanned, drink in hand, lying there in bed I try to socialize but I can't seem to find What I was looking for, got something on my mind

    Anglican origins, claims, theology.

I'm not sure of the utility of quibbling over dates that "churches" existed in England and other parts of Europe, and when the "Church of England" (proper) had its origins. No-one has said they didn't exist prior. If one is attempting to trace Anglican church origins, dating this to the Church...

    The Simple Original Apostolic Gospel

A challenge was offered in another thread, and that challenge was met not with an answer, but with counter-challenges to other members. In response, I offer a reminder to Pedrito of these issue at hand. Parentheses added by me. Let's start there as opposed to asking for "proof texts" from...

    Would I be admitted?

A reminder to Pedrito of what the question was. Parentheses added by me. Let's start there as opposed to asking for "proof texts" from others who have made their views clear.
