Are music videos as important today?

Apparently they are. YouTube rakes up several millions of views for new videos of popular artists, sometimes within a day :O So someone is surely watching, but the medium has changed. As for me, I 'watch' a few, mostly live DVD's that have been uploaded to YouTube of some favorite artists. There...

The problem with "Christian" music today

This subject has been addressed before recently. For whatever reason there's some pervasive need- even in 'traditional' churches - to move in a modern direction. Ours has integrated Hillsong and other such modern tracks into the services along with more traditional hymns. I suppose it's fine...

Who helped you along the way?

Two people in particular - my great grandmother and 'Ted C.', a "spiritual mentor" of mine many years ago.

The "What" and "Why" of "Sacraments"

I don't see this extension in the Large Catechism. The Book of Concord makes some connection/relation to the Lord's prayer; however Luther doesn't seem to make the point that confession/absolution are a necessary extension of the prayer. So is confession/absolution considered a separate...

The "What" and "Why" of "Sacraments"

I'm curious about the 'elevation of importance' in a symbolic ritual. If there are no graces imparted in the process, but merely an acceptance into that particular community of faith, what would be the reason for 'elevating' it?

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 6

Wait for Netflix. It was okay, but the ending was rather pretentious. It had some depth to it, but it could have done a better job exploring different things. It was more a 'Queen' bio-pic than about Freddie so much. And it didn't look at the end of Freddie's life, which I found disappointing...

    Ananias and Sapphira

I'm not sure I understand the distinction. Liars and thieves, in an attempt to subvert the truth, must concoct a story to cover their tracks and attempt to act it out in hopes of fooling their victim. Doesn't that place them on equal ground with the hypocrite?

    Ananias and Sapphira

Could Ananias and Sapphira have been both? It appears so from the story. Can we?

    Migrant Caravan from Honduras

Tell me just how many of the thousands will understand the process noted by you in post 32? "Applying at the border crossing" in that fashion (the filling and filing of forms, etc.) would be all of impossible. Some may require a computer, translator, different types of verification, etc...

    Denomination Chart

The chart seems to have the Presbyterians a little more liberal than they seem to be as well. The PCUSA has both liberal and conservative congregations.

Is white nationalism a Christian virtue?

Still not answering questions? I think some valid ones have been raised and your avoidance of acknowledging anyone else's experience is very telling

Is white nationalism a Christian virtue?

Not really what I said, so maybe you can clarify what you're asking.
