    Love it or List it?

All these shows involve a degree of playacting, I am sure. Hillary and David, for example, appear to spar, and she acts distraught when the builders find mold or unlevel concrete, but I know it is just for show. However, I think that Hillary has excellent taste and better vision than her...

    What English sounds like

I don't have an answer, but my memories are like that also. I don't think I have any that come from before about age 4, but there doesn't seem to be any particular reason why some of them should have stuck while others are lost forever. The example you gave of an adult snapping at you or...

    Halloween

Alas, anything else that might be given out as treats would require a lot of thought and preparation. But when it comes to candy, the companies package it all up for you, price it reasonably...and in ten minutes you have all you need for the occasion.

    War Movies

It was considered to be something of a second-rate film when it came out, mainly because the studio spliced in newsreel footage for the action shots, some of it from the war in Europe, and also footage from more than a half-dozen earlier movies. Not even Midway Island appeared in this film.

So now we know that someone else also considers this to be a war movie, but it barely qualifies. So would The Best Years of Our Lives by that standard. Would you call it a war movie?

?? But this would not mean that it was not available for sale. That's a common situation.

    Love it or List it?

I believe you, but I cannot imagine why that would be so. Often, David comes up with a house that is clearly superior to the old one.

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

What we know (although it was played down by the media during the controversy) is that Roseanne is very strongly opposed to anti-Semitism. And why not? Consider who the object of her ire (and the unfortunate joke) was and you'll get the fuller picture of this incipient.

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

There probably were rights that ABC retained, and since it wanted to rework the show and give it a new try, Fox probably was shut out. That's just a guess, tho.

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

I am not a fan. She's a Socialist, after all. But why should she be singled out?? There are many stars on TV right now who have said much worse things and do it on every show, not just a one-time Twitter post. I guess that 'selective outrage' just doesn't sit well with me.

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

That's all very reasonable and understandable, if somewhat beside the point.

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

Sure, they did. They had a surprise hit on their hands and then cancelled it in order to be PC. That wasn't why most people watched it. They are now scrambling, which shows that the network knows what it did in haste, but they have no chance of regaining what they gave up. If the Democrats...

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

Well, the show had been a surprise hit. For that reason, and although the network shot itself in the foot by cancelling, I can see them trying to shuffle the characters. Having a new format in addition to the absence of Roseanne herself makes it a different show, regardless of the scripts, and...

    Reboot of Roseanne coming

That's close to what I was thinking. It might have been possible to find a replacement for Roseanne, the mom in the show and lead character, but they have chosen to make the focus of the family be the daughter. IMHO, this is a formula for failure for several reasons.

    War Movies

Well, it related to war or to the threat of war, etc. But I think that when most people speak of "war movies," they mean movies that depict war and people caught up in them. Strangelove was about imaginary politicians.

    War Movies

Heres one that is usually overlooked when people talk about war movies--Zulu. And one more that occurs to me is Stalingrad (1995 version) . Both of those really put the viewer into the middle of the action and not just because of special effects or the violence/action.

You know, I came very close to putting something like the (sorta) alongside my nomination of Hacksaw Ridge, too. The first part of the movie seems rather lame, but then when the action scenes come in...wow.

I can enjoy softball movies about the military like Mister Roberts, but I am impressed by those that are more realistic, despite the doleful nature of the subject. Therefore, my list would include All Quiet on the Western Front, Hacksaw Ridge, Paths of Glory, Empire of the Sun, and Saving...
