Should Facial recognition Be Used Widely?

No, but the US doesn't take privacy seriously enough to stop it. The Supreme Court hasn't taken a very strong position on a constitutional right, and neither party has shown interest in legislation.

    Singing at church?

Not in the congregation. We have soloists, placed in a choir loft, and I think with a plexiglas shield directly in front of them. I don't think anything short of N95's would make singing safe.

Biden wants schools to teach the Islamic faith

Religion is important to understanding world events. It’s also important to many fellow Americans. We should have basic knowledge of major religions.

    Snopes, Creationism and Conspiracy Theory

Many don't believe it, but that doesn't discredit their scientific work. And there are also Christians working in the field.

    Snopes, Creationism and Conspiracy Theory

Specific beliefs such as creationism can’t be conspiracy theory. But most advocates I’ve read combine it with ideas ranging from scientists being biased against Christianiy to being part of a Satanic plot against Christianity. That’s conspiracy theory.

    Snopes, Creationism and Conspiracy Theory

Note that this is in a section of news and opinion, and is not part of Snopes‘ fact checking. Personally I think having such a suggestion compromises the main purpose of the site.

    Snopes, Creationism and Conspiracy Theory

Yes, it is. If fact I would suggest that the idea that mainstream science is conspiring to attack Christianity is the beginning of many other conspiracy theories, from not believing in global warming to the anti vax movement and Trump’s Big Lie.

    Covid Vaccine Deaths

J and J looks like 1 problem per million, though it’s not clear whether the problem is even connected with the vaccine. The drive to the place where you get it is probably riskier. I suspect they’re being careful because the problems with AZ. But so far J and J doesn’t seem to be at the same level.

What's one law of your country you would change?

I think the reason the idea of term limits hasn’t gotten much support is that it would tend to shift influence to staff and lobbyists.

What's one law of your country you would change?

The virtual fillibuster in the Senate. It violates the intent of the Framers. They considered the requirement for a supermajority one thing that made the preceding Articles of Confederation weak.

    How?

This is actually one of the weakest way to attack literal belief in Genesis. There is no generally accepted model for how life arose. So this is an interesting idea, but certainly nothing with strong enough support that I'd want to use to prove anything. There are, however, other well-supported...

    Covid Vaccine Deaths

Probably. However there’s work on a generic corona virus immunization. It will probably take a few years. Could a Single Vaccine Work Against All Coronaviruses?. The problem is that funding may go away after the current crisis.

    Covid Vaccine Deaths

The EEOC has said that if employers require it they have to make exceptions. I haven’t seen details about anything else. I think people who have had it may still be required. For other diseases, immunity from vaccines lasts longer. I saw speculation that they might only need one dose, but...

    Covid Vaccine Deaths

There is a certificate showing that you’ve been vaccinated. The app would just be more convenient documentation. Mine looks just like the photo here. Vaccination cards will be issued to everyone getting Covid-19 vaccine, health officials say. It’s not finished, since I’ve just gotten the first...

    Covid Vaccine Deaths

Sure. I think you should consult a doctor. The allergic reactions they've seen have been to specific things, so someone who knows should say whether that matches your profile. The reactions have been quicker than a few hours, but then they've explicitly advised certain people not to take the...

    Covid Vaccine Deaths

Immediate effects are pretty obvious. The most serious is anaphylaxis, but that's treatable. It's why they keep you for observation. For other things, it seems like it's statistics. Yes, there were blood clots from a few people in Europe. But apparently not more than usual. For Covid, the...

    Biden's First Press Conference

Biden isn't a smooth speaker. He tended to go on tangents and stop himself abruptly. It was an interesting mix. Some answers he mostly read from notes. I'd do that too. The notes had lots of details a numbers. Most people wouldn't remember all of that. But his personal remarks made his...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

While I agree with you, the classical argument is that this makes Jesus' act of questionable use. If he died for people who aren't actually saved, then knowing he died for you doesn't mean much. Neither approach is without its problems. There's no real assurance of salvation without...

Do you think the Puritans were idiots?

Today we don't have quite the same belief in witches. But many Christians belief that Satan is active in various movements they object to, and that Satan oppresses many people.

Do you think the Puritans were idiots?

The Puritans were a group of Reformed Christians, who wanted a more pure form of Christianity than they could live in England. Their writings include some classics in traditional Reformed theology and piety. The Salem Witch trials occurred in a community that I guess you'd have to say was...
