    Jesus Christ, died for all

It did no such thing. The Law of Moses was still the bench-mark You say this, then ask me how it is not effectively justifying "the sinner" So, is it for "the sinner" or for "the person for whom he bled and died"? And WE engage in double-speak... smh...

    Jesus Christ, died for all

That's been YOUR bit all along about how his sacrifice effectively justifies some sinners Don't put it on me now. It is effectual, as I said. Was there a misunderstanding? Just... what?? The word is "desecrates". You're welcome. The rest? Just... what?

    Jesus Christ, died for all

Let's look at "effectual": There are two emphases given to the term - Producing (the meaning you assign when you see it used) or able to produce (the meaning I intend when I use it). So - what is the shed blood of Christ able to produce? The salvation of all who believe. It is NOT, however...

    NFL

Want to really get confused? Watch Canadian football (CFL). Three downs instead of four, 60 yard field, extended end-zone, 1-yard line of scrimmage, players can be in motion before the snap. On a different note, though, Cleveland Browns flunkie Johnny Manziel plays for Montreal! :D

    Jesus Christ, died for all

Have you heard of the false equivalency fallacy? You've perpetuated this in numerous threads and thrown "UNIVERSALIST!" at so many posters it's incredible. Folks saying that the sacrifice of Christ is effectual for all does not equate with universal atonement because not all are/will be saved...

What are you eating? - Part 2

Leftover pork roast and mushroom soup. Sooooo good the second time since I let it simmer in the soup for a bit waiting for the rice.

    Jesus Christ, died for all

"Here's some grape juice which is poured out..." (Mat. 26:28a - Menno Version) What it actually says: https://biblehub.com/matthew/26-28.htm

When you feel you need to do something...do it

Great idea Lamm! My mom did something similar with her grandmother (my great-grandmother) years ago - I guess I was a teenager. We set up a camcorder (LOL!) and my mom had a bunch of questions for her about family history and different things. I still have the videotape in storage, and the last...

    Power/Might of Satan

Would you say, then, that as Paul speaks of the "works of the flesh" he may have had in mind sin (committed or omitted) that have their root in Satan's influence? Or something else...?

Not heard on "Contemporary Christian Radio" thread

This actually got mainstream radio play. I'm not sure people understood what the lyrics were about "I, I feel so alive For the very first time I can't deny you, I feel so alive"

I figured not. Thank you for being honest. As for sparing us any supposed trauma from exposing our emotional attachment to treasured doctrinal bedtime stories, thank you; however we are all grown-up's who are most capable of eating solid food.

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 6

At Starbucks listening to loud talkers. But I guess it's part of the 'ambiance'. I really am disinterested in the phone call of the guy next to me, though. He really wants me to hear it. I wonder what he'd think of my music if I unplugged my head-phones. He'd be a little miffed, I think :D

I don't have the premium, but I've been having fun working on some playlists. Each has their own type of "mood", some are from some favorite bands, pretty cool :)
