    The Sin of Job

What does that have to do with what I said?

    The Sin of Job

No, that's not the truth. That's a lie straight out of satan's mouth. He's the accuser. God thinks we are deserving of good because He created us good and even though our image has been tarnished by the fall and our desires have been corrupted, we maintain the desire to seek good.

    Annoying fruit

Indeed. I'd also add mango to the list. The ones I tried - it was impossible to eat the flesh attached to the husk. Because of OCD, I don't like to waste food, and whenever I tried eating a mango, I'd end up with a husk surrounded by flesh, like in the image, and it made the experience unpleasant.

Do you think it is possible

Also, if we consider the previous verse and the recent scientific research on human microbiome, Jesus seems to have been wrong on the matter. Apparently, human microbiome seems to be linked to mental health problems, such as bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's, depression, OCD, anxiety and who knows...

Do you think it is possible

That's completely taken out of context. All those things come from within because that's where the cognition centers are. That's where those things are formed. But they are formed there predominantly because men is tempted by evil entities.

Do you think it is possible

I said that humans would likely sin a lot less if they didn't live in a world of temptations with evil entities whose agenda is to corrupt them. Not that people wouldn't die. Death is a punishment applied to the entire human species for Adam and Eve's original sin, from what I gather.

Do you think it is possible

Yes, for the reasons I mentioned above. Take away all temptation and all evil entities from this world, and the desire to sin would gradually decrease towards zero in a matter of years.

Do you think it is possible

We are a species who is inherently good, but very susceptive to being influenced by temptation and we live in a world filled with temptation and supernatural entities who diligently work to corrupt us. Human beings always act according to what we believe to be the "good" but being human also...

Saying "You have to be happy by yourself first" is exactly like saying "Beatings will continue until morale improves."

Person A, B and C: "Listen, guys, please stop giving us these pieces of advice regarding this particular issue. We have analyzed them and put t hem to the test, and have found them unhelpful and even harmful. We understand that you mean well and see things differently from your perspective, but...

Saying "You have to be happy by yourself first" is exactly like saying "Beatings will continue until morale improves."

I mean, I really don't see how I could explain it better than through what has been said so far.

Saying "You have to be happy by yourself first" is exactly like saying "Beatings will continue until morale improves."

If your partner stops offering you the happiness that they did at the beginning, then something changed about them or/and yourself, and you need to explore through therapy what changed, so you can work on getting things back to how they were at the beginning. I absolutely disagree about the...

Saying "You have to be happy by yourself first" is exactly like saying "Beatings will continue until morale improves."

Speaking from personal experience, for me at least, this is absolutely false.

A response to those who say that a relationship will not fix you or your life, adapted from a Reddit post. While people are more than their ability to make you feel better, to say through implication a relationship won't radically improve your life if that's what's missing is daft. Whether it's...

Is it LAWFUL to kill animals?

I said no such thing. Either my experience in prayer is wrong or the book other people tell me was infallibly inspired by God is wrong. If my experience in prayer is wrong, then the very statements of the book are wrong because the book says "seek and you shall find". I sought and what I found...

Is it LAWFUL to kill animals?

That's not so simple. If the book I'm supposed to believe is the Word of God not only approves of, but also commands (in the Old Testament) what my experience with God indicates to be evil, I have a lot of reason for concern. Either the book is wrong or my experience is wrong. Considering that I...

Is it LAWFUL to kill animals?

Owning a car doesn't cause pain to another creature. Driving it might, but that's another topic altogether. Research has shown that plants don't experience pain and can regenerate. Fruits that are picked from trees have no nervous system to experience pain. Neither do potatoes. I'm not asking...
