Well, the Savior did not do any saving that we can experience. We still suffer, we still die, there's not world peace. If He's going to do the saving when He comes a second time, why does He require belief prior to that?

I don't understand what you mean by this. What answer am I bumping up against? I don't find that they have, no. If at least half of the promises from the New Testament came true, healing the sick and raising the dead would be frequent occurrences among Christians.

Answer my question: who does punishment for punishment's sake benefit? If a man repents of his deeds and strives to do God's Will, that's all that is necessary for forgiveness of his past sins. Retributive punishment of those who truly repent is not something good.

If feelings and experiences from God are in no way discernable from those given by evil spirits, then I don't understand how anyone can know which religion is true, if any. The most you can do is to start out with the assumption of a certain religion being true and further indoctrinate yourself...

How would it benefit you or anyone else if Biden was sent to jail or given the capital punishment? Would it satisfy your soul or anyone else's soul if that happened? If it did, then you should pray some more for those souls because they have much to learn about forgiveness.
