Should people who rip books out of the Bible burn in Hell?

Someones salvation is not neccesarily affected by never reading any of the Bible.

Should people who rip books out of the Bible burn in Hell?

My understanding is that the early Church took the Septuagint as it's OT which included the deuterocanonical books, though there do appear to have been many disputes on this The list was definitively defined long before Trent or Florence at the Council of Rome by Pope Damasus I in a document...

Should people who rip books out of the Bible burn in Hell?

The problem is that there is no universally accepted Bible to add to or delete from. The founder/founders/leaders of each group - denomination/sect/cult - decide what books make up a Bible for them. They may base it on a list from another group and delete or add books to make what is the Bible...

Should people who rip books out of the Bible burn in Hell?

Hi Josiah, What evidence do you have that it was ever officially approved of by the Catholic Church? You might like to read this: http://www.unamsanctamcatholicam.com/history/historia-ecclesiae/9-uncategorised/112-st-paul-to-the-laodiceans.html

    THREE BAPTISMS

Yes, it is baptism with water that we receive the Holy Spirit. It is in baptism with water that we are renewed, reborn as children of God Renewal “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (Jn 3:6) What does Jesus mean here? There is not room...

    THREE BAPTISMS

Being baptised with water and being baptised with the Holy Spirit are biblically based events in the life of a Christian. However only the former is called 'baptism' in scripture. Nowhere in scripture is the noun term "Baptism with the Holy Spirit" to be found. It seems to have been a term...

    THREE BAPTISMS

It is in (water) baptism that the Spirit acts to bring is into the body of Christ. As the Amplified Bible translates this "For by [[a]means of the personal agency of] one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized [and by baptism united together] into one body...

    Is Sabbath, Saturday or Sunday.

Thank you for that response. It helps me to assess: your interest in sensible discussion, your understanding of scripture, your understanding of Catholicism. If I were to say - approaching zero it might seem unfriendly, and we want to be friendly here, so I will just say have a nice day.

    THREE BAPTISMS

I agree that it is very clear. Baptism in both cases refer to baptism in water. It is in baptism(in water) that we come into the body of Christ - the one baptism that brings us into the one body (Eph 4:4) I can't see what you are saying here.

    THREE BAPTISMS

What is literal and what is a figure of speech? That is the question. I only see one literal Christian baptism {JtB was purely Jewish) and that is with water. Other mentions of baptism or baptising are figures of speech. Incidentally the term "baptism with [or in/by/of] the Holy Spirit" never...

    Is Sabbath, Saturday or Sunday.

Going back to the topic title: "Is the Sabbath Saturday or Sunday?" @hobie claims that the Catholic Church changed the day of the Jewish weekly sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. It didn't. He gives many quotations to support his case but newspapers and church bulletins do not necessarily reflect...
