Hi there; I do think that interpretation - hermeneutics is an area where so many evangelicals /fundamentalist, etc. have shown neglect. People seem to be prepared to do careful word studies sometimes, but how in the context a collection of words makes sense is often an area where: "This is what it means to me" is the measure, rather than "This is what the passage means", is important. Yes, we need the Spirit graciously to lead us individually and grant us light and understanding, but how words fit the contexts of their passages is often an unknown area for many Christians who otherwise seem to love the Word.
