Are you saved? And if so, by whom and/or by what?

God throws a rope around a dead and unrepentant evil sinner, drags him (or her, no favoritism) into the water, where he holds the person under until they yell 'glurgle uncle' , at which time, He kicks open a door and shoves the person through it, thereby ALMOST securing their salvation.

ALMOST, because even though they weren't free to NOT be saved :hypnotized: , NOW they are free to UNSAVE themselves by choice. :boggled: Gosh, religionism is fun! :=D:

I don't like coming here when there is mocking of God so could someone cancel my account please?

Dear, you misunderstand. This is not mocking God, but a humorous visual of how some people believes God saves them. Please don't be offended.

Amazing spin there.....

The DEAD don't protest. The DEAD don't resist. The DEAD don't do anything. You seem to suggest the DEAD would be offended... friend, the dead don't get offended at anything.

I took lifeguard training when I was a teen. Never did that professionally, but I got the certification. When someone is even ALIVE but in crisis, they may not ask you to save them.... they may not cooperate (they may in fact try to drown the rescuer!!).... you just SAVE them. Often with their actions making it a whole lot harder. Usually.... onced SAVED.... they are grateful but that's after they realized they're saved. Do you mock the lifeguard? Is he wrong to save someone who is drowning? Friend, I was born on January 23, 1988. I wasn't conscience, I wasn't breathing, I didn't cooperate (it was by C-Section) but he doctor cut open my mom, reached it there and took me out. No one asked my permission. I made no choices. Was the doctor wrong to do this (he should have just let me die - which is what was quickly happening)? I was a news story the other day on TV. A baby fell out of a vehicle, the car behind them stopped and saved the child from being ran over and killed. Funny, the child didn't ask for this person to do this. No indication the baby chose to fall out of the vehicle or willed for the person behind him to stop and scoop him up. I guess you would mock that person (rather than regard him a hero as people did), you would ridicule him for not seeking the baby's permission and seeing what the baby's choice was. Jesus found Lazarus DEAD. Real dead.... sticking. And Jesus raised him from the dead. The Bible seems to suggest this was good of Jesus, not the horrible thing you suggest. The Bible relates it as a pure miracle of grace, a pure mirical of Jesus but I guess you would mock Jesus for doing this. You are a man but I hope you never father a child...... after all, did that child ASK to be given life? ASK to be born? Give you permission?

I think you have turned love, grace..... salvation into a mockery. I can't image why you'd want to do that!!!!!! Why you would want to spin saving, rescuing, rising from the dead, giving life, blessing into something horrible.

It's not a mocking of God. I love my God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I wish He and His glorious work weren't so misrepresented so often by ppl, especially by those sometimes who call themselves His believers.

He gets mocked by those who insist that their way of interpreting certain scriptures, or their hard and fast rules regarding things like their sacramental traditions are the only acceptable ways and means to be a christian.

Jesus came to set us free from the yokes of bondage to sin and religious legalism and oppression.

What you read in the above post is a different approach to exposing such oppression.
It's a version of humor called sarcasm, and often comes out because reason and tolerance are proven futile against 'religious dictatorship'.
It also often acts as the best defense against stoopid.
Jesus sometimes called religious types snakes, liars, and children of the devil.
That probably doesn't sound too nice, either, but would anyone like to tell Jesus He wasn't being nice, or was unloving, or that His anger was sin, or any of those accusations?

It's my prayer that everyone that comes across this site would receive the Lord Jesus Christ BY FAITH and therefore be saved, not by religious ritual, not by man's works, not by man's decision whereby man gets the credit, (to God be the glory), and not by force, but by the loving grace of God in Christ.

Please don't take these posts as an offense, or as a mockery of God, .... I don't believe there is ANYone on this site that intentionally wants to mock God, quite the opposite, and it just so happens that different folks have different ways of seeing things, and different ways of expressing them, different levels of frustration and tolerance towards anothers' positions on certain things. We're all sinners saved by grace (or with some, perhaps, hoping to be) I don't think anyone but maybe one or two here would disagree with that.
Welcome to the family of God, the body of Christ! :=D:

He didn't call religious types that. Who isn't religious in some way or another? I've always heard evangelicals talk about reformed that they're pharisees blabla. Rodney Howard Browne once came to Holland. People got mad and left. He said: great! the pharisees have left, now there's an extra seat for someone else. Cute not. Jesus said it to the pharisees who rejected Him and blasphemed. They were children of the devil and snakes. If someone was religious not in the right sense of how James describes it, it was Saul.
He never called him those names though. If someone doesn't reject Jesus it's a brother or a sister and you may not even call them a fool.

Please don't judge the site by one person's post :(

We do not remove accounts and I hope you decide to give us another chance soon.

Thats what ive been saying referring to religious types, THOSE religious types. Tired of the double-speak anyway. But why All the sudden you jump sides?.... Do You think they would support you even ONCE? ....

They are the ones that give the 'my way or the highway speeches' so much, on baby baptisms, on the communion wafer stuff, it's always the same thing, believe their denominational authorities or they'll just twist it and make it look like you say and believe something you dont, then use it against you, and you better not argue.

There's no fairness of debate or assessment, and even though myself and Brighten04 and Cassia and atpollard and Pedrito and even ~Jo~ and pops and hotrhymez and tigger and even KrissyCakes and Ruth and ValleyGal and maybe even others would say and some of us have said repeatedly, 'Okay fine, believe how you want about those doctrines, just stop forcing us to have to believe your way', but they don't, and they don't support you Rens, but you support them and not us in this post? Why, That makes no sense.

Also, was there a part of this from that post that was not clear?

This is a discussion site. We are allowed to post our views even though you disagree with them. You should stop mocking everyone though because you see what is happening.

I just posted this on that other thread Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

"and that not of yourselves" so even the Holy Bible shows you don't provide for your salvation and that means it's a gift from God. Gotta take it you insist but isn't that after salvation is given as that gift from God or is there confusion about the process order since the Romans verse and this and even others all show God saves and doesn't need us or our decision, wasn't that in John?
