I looked at cheaper ones because I really didn't like the price of the Werner, but most of them were rated at 250lb or less. I'm a big guy and by the time I'm up the ladder with a bunch of tools I wouldn't want to take my chances with a ladder that might not be up to the job. I got the MT-17 although they do a shorter one (MT-13) and a couple of longer ones (I think MT-22 and MT-26). They are easy to adjust and it's easy to see whether things are locked in place or not.

Last time I had to get into the crawl space over the garage it was precarious with the old ladder I was trying to use, I had to put it right on the edge of a big step and hope it didn't slide even a little bit as I shuffled off the ladder and into the crawlspace.

With all that hiking I always pictured you a slender guy! You hike more miles than I do!!

I need an outside ladder too that will do well on a hilly ground. The Werners are definitely expensive but worth it for safety.

Relaxing during a thunderstorm. I checked the basement and it's dry! We have a very tiny area underneath our deck that would get seepage but I had gone out in the fall and re-graded the earth so the slope is better. I think I fixed the problem :) At least I'm hoping so!

I'm not hugely fat, just tall and somewhat overweight.

Having seen how easy it is to adjust the Werner I feel confident I've got a good product.

Took a car load to the landfill. Now all the laths from my basement ceiling are gone, as is a box of nasty old electrical stuff I took out. I'm glad it's gone.

Spent most of the day playing mostly Bach.

Some of his stuff is extremely challenging - I've been working on a 2 page prelude for over a week now and it's only now starting to sound like it should. It's challenging my habits and I find now that when I improvise, my left hand dexterity and resourcefulness is greatly improved. It is very easy to get into some bad habits and pedal your way through mistakes and parts not known well, while the playing gets a bit sloppy. Bach is especially good discipline to get out of those habits.

They kicked someone out of his house here. Guess he didn't pay rent. Normally they throw the stuff outside, they had really good furniture. They just throw everything away. It gets more antisocial every day.
Old friend of my ex couldnt pay rent for a few months, years ago. They just kicked him out of his house but they threw the stuff on the street, they didnt just throw it away. We had him in our house a while. He hadnt talked to him in years and that day God said: call him.
I cant take the neighbours in my house or they kick us out. They werent even there. Dont even know who it were. That there is just noone to help em, put their stuff somewhere, is unbelievable. What a jerkish antisocial country.
We're as social as rats.
I complained a lot lately about living with 3 kids in a 1 person apt with complain neighbours threatening to kick you out if you roll a ball on the floor, but I listened to that song yesterday: be grateful cause theres someone else whod love to be in your shoes. So I thanked the Lord for this house.
If it was a woman I could take her in. Or if they just put it on the street I'd offer to stall some stuff here. They do that with families with kids too. I told an American on cf that they kick people in prison if they dont pay their debts. He was flabbergasted. A guy in church had that. 90000 debt. one day and he could go to prison. the money is fake anyway from banks. we prayed. noone could give him that money. bam debt was gone. they couldnt find it anymore.

I started practicing my tin whistle again! I can't believe how awful I got from no practice. My fingers don't want to move quickly and cover the holes properly. I have 3 different tin whistles and the one that is best is my father-in-law's (he passed away) even though they all look exactly the same. They sound quality is not the same. I'd like to buy a new one that is more expensive and hope the tone is good.

Aw, that's sad that they have done that. Do you get an eviction notice? In most states here an eviction process has to be done and that includes a notice so it's not a surprise.
