It will be interesting to see how the garlic I have growing in terrariums turns out. Garlic here (per Kilogram) is anywhere from $20-$30. I have my garlic growing in relatively small terrariums. Will I get a full bulb out of each clove? I guess I'll know in about 9 months or so. So far they are going great - filling more and more of the terrariums with their sprouted bit.

Best part about it - it's mostly "set and forget" - I only need to check on them like once a week to make sure they're doing ok. No watering necessary for the closed terrariums.

And I have to admit where things failed.

Heads of lettuce (already grown) in terrariums rotted. However, they do fine in a little (note - less than an inch) nutrient water in an open plastic container getting indirect light. Grow pretty fast too.

The lettuce I started from seed in a couple of closed terrariums receiving indirect light are going very well though.

That's what draws me to systems that are "set and forget" or mostly that. At one time I had a bunch of plants growing, thriving...then I got involved in other things and I neglected to water them. They dried up and died. What a waste.

Tomorrow I get to test the wallpaper stripper and my new ladder.

I've easily removed wallpaper with a homemade solution in spray bottle and a plastic spatula! The only time it didn't work was when the paper was super thin and was put on drywall that hadn't been primed/painted!

How tall is your new ladder?

Aren't there plants that grow well next to each other?

I'm trying to decide what to wear today. My only real chore is to go out and get gas and that's a drive since it's a discounted purchase from the grocery store. I have to travel to another area since my grocery store doesn't have the gas station although they give out rewards. I have $1 off a gallon of gas right now so sometimes it's worth the trip even though they are higher in price for gas.

something has happened to Chrome, its scroll when using a track-pad is almost as smooth as Edge's and that's a significant improvement for Chrome. Somebody in Google Chrome division has been coding!

Doesn't your hand hurt (metacarpals) when you use the track-pad? I'm definitely a mouse girl!

Father in heaven, please bless Rens with much needed rest, she gets pulled in so many directions but does so well to take care of her boys and be a good employee, but, all that back and forth by bike and bus and train, as well as the living situation, she does great but it's wearying sometimes, Lord, so please bless her with sleep and rejuvenation, and grant her peace in her heart and mind, wrapped and held in your love in Jesus' name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
(And the bunnies, Lord. Amen) :)
And the GPig.
And the mouse.
And the worm.
And the fish.

It's a 17 foot multi function ladder. Removing the wallpaper is slower than I hoped because there are four layers of it. At least I've got a piece of cable in place that can supply 1500W without wondering if the wire will melt.

Hi tango

Theres a handheld scoring tool that you roll across the wall , it has a series of blades that will score thru the paper and then if you spray with water it comes off easier with a scraper or a taping knife with the pointed corners filed.
It's pretty handy, plus it's fun. Reminds you of when you were a kid rolling your toy cars across the walls, only now you won't get yelled at. :=D:

I scored the wallpaper before steaming but it still takes a while to get through four layers!

Tell me what brand you got for the 17 foot ladder please??? I need one for my house. I can't reach the window in the entry way to clean it and it's bugging me!

4 layers of wallpaper? Maybe I won't offer to help out after all ;) You're doing a great job anyway!

It's a Werner, not cheap but very versatile and rated to carry 300lb.

Really can't go wrong with a Werner.
Snatched up a nifty little four footer with a painters tray and top step tool caddy for twenty bucks a couple years ago. Great sturdy little ladder , take from garage, basement to 2nd floor easy, handy for knocking out small projects, ceiling fan, quick trim painting, etc.
Until my buddy got it all mucked up in a stucco project, and that was that. :( I like a clean ladder.

I looked at cheaper ones because I really didn't like the price of the Werner, but most of them were rated at 250lb or less. I'm a big guy and by the time I'm up the ladder with a bunch of tools I wouldn't want to take my chances with a ladder that might not be up to the job. I got the MT-17 although they do a shorter one (MT-13) and a couple of longer ones (I think MT-22 and MT-26). They are easy to adjust and it's easy to see whether things are locked in place or not.

Last time I had to get into the crawl space over the garage it was precarious with the old ladder I was trying to use, I had to put it right on the edge of a big step and hope it didn't slide even a little bit as I shuffled off the ladder and into the crawlspace.
