But then we wouldn't have had to use card catalogues to find a 20 pound academic journal on the fourth floor of the library covered in dust. Then (this is the fun part) lug it over to the copier and try to get all the pages lined up correctly without mashing the book to heck!

Once in a while I got lucky and it was on 'microfiche' :)

Or the reference book that wasn't supposed to be checked out went missing and that was the one you needed. I hated having to go to the library! Our local library had nothing and the county library was a far drive and was impossible to find anything in. The librarians were so grumpy at the county one so asking them for help was useless. Ah, Google. How I would have loved to have copied and pasted and plagiarized ;)

My basement lighting circuit is finished and it works. Thankfully the existing cable was long enough to simply cut it and use at both ends. The alternative would have meant fiddling inside the breaker panel.

Do you have to have an inspector come out to see your work?

No, I'm replacing what was already there so no need for an inspection (I checked before starting)

From dry soil/dehydration? Did he set the bucket at a level higher than the plants so the water would trickle down into them through the wool?

So far it's working for me. I am using 100% cotton strips from an old shirt and placed the reservoirs at a slightly higher point. I just started doing it though - so if the plants start to dry out I'll set up two per pot.

A note on this (which starts here http://christianityhaven.com/showthread.php?3215-So-What-are-YOU-doing-Part-3&p=86890#post86890)

I noticed in the last few days that one of my cloths was dry and not feeding the plant like it should. Everything looked the same but it wasn't.

The difference between this cloth and the others was that it was wider outside the container than the part inside the water in the container. Because less water from the skinny portion needed to cover wider cloth as it traveled, the air was drying it before it could reach the plant.

Just a note for those who may read this and try it with their own plants. Make your cloths wide to skinny and put the wide side in the water elevated above the plant.

How much rainfall have you been getting lately? I was wondering if there is a lot of mold growing on things in your area? I live in a humid area but not that much and there is a lot of mold on the houses that has to be powerwashed yearly.

Mold is something that needs watching out for in the area for sure. I dumped truckloads of furniture when I had to move from a place that had mold. My youngest was too allergic to chance further exposer. Mold can have very deadly effects!

So yah, it is a problem in lots of houses, not an easy problem to get rid of because walls need to be torn out to get to get rid of it. But recognizing it makes it easy to avoid.

What am I doing? Getting frustrated trying to find posts that I had read and wanted to comment on but now can't find. When I'm more awake I'll have to configure how to tag favorite posts ... but not right now  btb  it's still just 4:53 am so the sun is yet to spiral on this circumference

Oooh I can help for the future with the posts. When you come across a post that you don't have time for but want to return to and reply, press on the box with the yellow star at the bottom right of the post! We have an add on called Starred Posts which will mark it as a Favorite. To go back and find it so you can reply go up to Quick Links and scroll down til you get to Starred Posts and you'll see them in there.
