Oops and I forgot to add that YES I do have German roots! I grew up with my mom speaking some German intermixed with English and I never really knew that she was saying German words. I actually thought she was making stuff up and I was so embarrassed! Now I wish I had been listening more. She stopped over time and never was fluent in the language but in a way I regret taking French (I also have French blood in me) instead of German in high school!

We have a Dutch site that hardly moderates and when people get mad lol he says: I'm not your babysitter. I have a life. Not gonna watch you all day. Just behave like adults and sometimes just don't react. Works fine.

Oh interesting. My dad used to teach German so he pumped that into us. Also have German nephews, one lives in the States.
Yesterday I learned American English has some Dutch words like coleslaw and stoop. And Yankees comes from Jan and Kees, very common Dutch names.

I only like to eat out no more than once a week. Too filling, too fattening and I don't like crowds LOL But I love eating Italian and Mexican food.

I have had parakeets, fish, cats and dogs. I always wanted a gecko (BEFORE the commercials brought them to stardom) but never got one.

My wife would FREAK OUT if there was a gecko in the house. Even in a cage. She grew up in Colombia where they run wild. She tells a story where once she was taking a shower and looked up and one was staring at her "with those beady little eyes"!
