Help me to not starve this week!

My wife is going out of town on business and that leaves me to shop for food and prepare it on my own. I despise any type of cooking so what's a guy to do but resort to those delicious frozen meals (he says in jest) but they all taste like cardboard and none look like the photos on the box.

Help me out here with recommendations on good frozen foods that won't leave me to want to have a beverage meal instead! I'm desperate.

Pizza or order Chinese, in Canada you could eat swell for almost nothing in the mall. In Holland we have quite healthy meals you can put 5 mins in the microwave. Don't know if they sell that in America. Or order fries.
If my mom worked my dad always gave us pizza, deep fried. Oh deep fried stuff is delicious too, a bag of vegetables and a bag of potatoes, throw it in a pan 5 mins. I learned to cook from my dad I think. Ready to eat pancakes, also yummy.

Just drop by at dinner time. I used to always do that until she got furious and kicked us all out hahahahahahaha.

I make a pretty mean stuffed pepper.
And I'm very modest about it, as you can tell

But seriously, thx for the reminder, I havent made them in a loooong time.
I just dont think of it for some reason, but thats a really good meal.
I like the heartwarming, home-style stuff, and it seems like ground beef enters the picture ALOT in my cooking.

Stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage, meatloaf, meatballs, chili, lasagne, even ground beef and mac, like hamburger helper style, and an old family tradition .... Something called Porcupine Balls.
Oh , and GREEAATT hamburgers.

(Is it ok to boast if I give the Lord the credit?)

We have a saying:
Hunger makes raw beans sweet.
I love baked beans btw. Yum. Gonna make that again. With taco's and quacemole and tomato and cheese.

Actually, there are some "frozen" meals that aren't bad. 'Bird's Eye' brand sells chicken pastas, stir-fry's, and other things. They're ready-made in package. All you need to do is heat everything in a skillet. Sauce included. Not very fancy, but it tastes decent.

Bah! Cheating. Home cooking's the way to go. Saves money .... Much less waste/packaging ....Tastes Waaay better .... You get to share it with someone. And its fun!!!

If a person can read, they should be able to cook. Recipes can be found at our fingertips, and many items have instructions right on them.
Sometimes you can pick up a jar of mayonaisse in the store, and right on the label is a recipe for chicken salad or something.
Buy the rest of the ingredients while you're there, and go home and make it. Its fun.

And most home cooks are happy to share tips and exchange ideas, (myself included), all you gotta do is ask.
Once you stock up on some basic ingredients, spices, condiments, etc., you find it's quite the adventure. God bless.

Definitely! Tuna salad is easy with some tuna, peas, mayo, onion, and pasta. I make it quite often. But it takes a while to make, prep, cook, clean up, eat, store left-overs...
A bag and a skillet are easy!
Of course, a pot of chili is simple, too...
