Some folks are just faster on the draw than me. I was watching two of them. I lost the first one; then on the second, I placed my final bid about a milli-second too late. It was right after another person's bid, but the time limit had just expired.

I will have my Keurig! :D

I'm looking into the sounding of the Muslim phrase "alah akbar" (I realize the first is misspelled - but that is how it is sounded)

In Hebrew.

It's interesting but I am not clear what it means, if anything. "Alah" - this word in Hebrew:

Has quite a few different meanings, including "light" "to light" (a fire) - although it's most common use is "To come or to go up". It is used in Isaiah 14:12-14 to describe Lucifer's proud proclamation that he will ascend into heaven and establish "his throne" above the stars of God.

"Alah" though - in all it's uses is a verb - not a noun or pronoun.

What I found a little more interesting is this word: "Akbar"

Which means mouse or mice. Mice are listed as an unclean animal and are not to be consumed.

What does it all mean? Either the Muslims are repeating a phrase that in Hebrew roughly means "Raise up or offer a mouse or mice" - or from a Hebrew perspective are talking complete nonsense.
