Is Jesus - now that he is raised from the dead in a glorified human body - an everlasting man?

I have not read anywhere in the holy scriptures that Jesus will at some point cease being a human because it would also mean that our own resurrections in that far off future of the coming would be questionable if he ceased to be man.

Do you think Jesus will be defeated to no longer be everlasting? I don't.

I have heard - from some people - that Jesus is not going to be a risen man forever. I am not sure what they think will happen and when but they appear to think that he will shed (or dispose of) his humanity. I don't agree with them. I think the idea makes salvation tenuous.

Is this the belief of a certain group or just some individuals with an opinion?

yes He can't change to not human whatever that is.

he is the first fruits of salvation ,the first of the NEW ,neither is he flesh and blood any more for he is glorified transformed into the new
for one , "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of god

so in the sense of being now the OLD man of flesh and blood Still . No , he is not because scripture declares it to be so .

"And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly man. Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed

into what are we changed ? into his image and likeness . why are we changed ? because HE is . He is no longer flesh and blood . but glorified into the eternal incorruptible state ,the body that we too will be clothed in at his coming when we are changed in the twinkling of an eye .

he was the word of god that came forth from god and "became " flesh .A MAN . he is no longer that man . he put off immortality to become man . he has now put OFF mortality and returned from whence he came .

The Bible said:
4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man[a] Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. (I Tim. 2: 4-6)

Footnotes:

1 Timothy 2:5 men and man render the same Greek word that is translated people in verses 1 and 4

Are men/people glorified? Have they 'put off' the flesh? No. Neither has Christ. He remains God and man.

Like you, we don't ignore scripture. Like you we are aware of what's in scripture. We just do not always believe the same things. No need to type as if you're the only one who has been enlightened by the Holy Spirit.

You've taken every word of the holy scriptures into account? How can that be when your bible is 66 books long and the holy scriptures have 73 books?

ahhh the serpent is on the garden . "did god really say ? what about our books over here {the ones that have obvious error and contradiction}
I'll leave you too it .

back on the topic

some one has posted this -' 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man[a] Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. (I Tim. 2: 4-6) this is in scripture so lets take note of it

it is of great interest that the context it is piked from is the context in which he is harshly warned the church of woman usurping authority etc . and begins with the reminder that JESUS the one mediator is A MAN.. and thus a Woman NEVER CAN BE EVER . see ya later Mary .

but it is not in any way declaring that he remains flesh and blood . he has done accomplished and finished what he became man to do .

well your not reading because all you chose to see is the predisposed mindset you got . im not saying of myself that he is not flesh and blood ,but when i read the scripture i see it says otherwise and since he has already accomplished what he came to do there is not need fo him to remains flesh and blood . And it says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of god
and it says he is the Heir and we co heirs with him .

in my above post im dealing with the ,misrepresented verse in tim 2 that was used to attempt to say he is still flesh and blood . but is does not Actually say he is still flesh and blood but rather it is dealing with the fact that when he became a MAN he became the ONLY mediator and paul goes on in his text to address how wrong it is for a feminine personality to step into such a roll, warning about woman usurping authority. so in the whole context of tim2 he is not at all even on the topic of whether or not Jesus is still flesh and blood .
that's what happens when a person plucks a sentence out of the whole and presents it to attempt to push a religious carnal mindset .

meanwhile the scripture says we will be made like him .so we see that if he were still flesh and blood we would already be like him

-Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. so we see that "as he is , is not as he was ,we also see that we shall be made like him , which means he is not like us now (flesh and blood)

the scripture also says And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly man. Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed So again we see here that he that has ascended(JESUS) has inherited the eternal ,which cannot be done by perishable flesh and blood according to the scriptures .

and it brings me to a question - What benefit is it and to whom, that Christ be lowered back to carnality when he has already overcome it in every way possible .it is the very opposite of Glorification .

How did the disciples see him ascend into heaven? As a man. The angels told them, This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come again in the same way as you saw him go into heaven. They saw Him go up as man and scriptures do not say he removed His humanity. Yes, His body was the new glorified body but He was still man. He ate fish in front of men to prove He was man. We too shall have glorified bodies at our resurrection.

I read a book called What Can the Bible Teach Us that suggested that Jesus rose as "a spirit creature". I wonder how wide spread that view is among people using the name "Christian".
