Oh, and just as an aside - the moon's luminosity is greatly diminished in the so called NASA official moon landing footage. Apparently it was taking some time off and decided to give much dimmer light for the "lunar landings". Thank goodness! Couldn't have blinded Astro NOTS coming back to tell tales of heroic adventures of moon landings!

On anything. You said it is known to be untrue that an informed person makes better decisions. I don't want anyone in a position of power, making decisions that affect others, to be uninformed in general, or worse, one who rejects knowledge.

I'm not wasting any more time on your flat-Earth stuff. I agree that you're trolling for amusement.

Run away Mark. I'm not trolling, and you are putting words in my mouth. You're trying to convert believers here to your view, which is understandable and expected I guess, to some extent - everyone argues their view - but I don't know what you think to expect on a Christian site? Anywho - obviously I'm an obstruction you don't wish to deal with via point and counterpoint arguments. That's fine. You assume my motives. I actually believe the things you think I only pretend to be passionate about. Not your run of the mill believer I guess.

Wow! I read this thread with interest in the OP. Regarding the faith of our fathers, I would say that yes, we have lost the faith of our fathers to a certain extent, but to other extent I would say faith has grown in many ways, but not necessarily faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I never quite grasp why some folk think that any post that I write automatically invites them to have a rant against something to do with Catholicism (no matter how indirectly) but it evidently does so I agree with you about the thread. WOW indeed.

Yes and we have those who question and throw doubt on so much that some if not grounded lose what faith they have

Would you lose your faith if the world and the rest of material creation were the result of a "big bang"?

I saw a youtube video that the Big Bang was evidence for God. Had something to do with sound, in the beginning was the Word. Whatever. It doesn't matter much to me.

I think the big bang IS definitely evidence for God. God spoke the WORD Let there be light, and if one considers a bang to be an explosion and explosions have always been associated with flashes of light, then science (big bang) agrees with scripture. Just my opinion though.

It doesn't matter much to me either but some appear to feel so threatened by a big bang that they make it into an unforgivable sin to discuss or believe it.

I tend to be science friendly because I am a nurse. But a lot of Christians do not have my perspective. I consider that whenever studying scripture, and I have many aha :stars: moments when a why gets answered. I think science explains how and why God did things.

Hate to break it to you folks - but according to Scientism (speculative, theory based "science" which isn't rooted and proven in real world experiments) - the big bang, according to them, is a result of Gravity. They believe their magical gravity exploded into matter in an ever expanding universe and that you and I as well as the rest of our world and universe is the result of a stupid, blind accident and that you are nothing more than star dust that happened to be in a special "goldilocks zone" where you could turn from star dust, to some sort of living one celled being all the way, eventually to apes then to humans through evolution (but missing all intermediary links).

God is absent in the Big Bang theory - Christians have simply adopted it because "Science" is a buzz word people associate with truth. Just because something is labeled science *does not mean that it is* - but the people who tell you the "secrets of the universe" - using powerful telescopes that no member of the public can access and raking in billions of dollars of tax payer money to give you fancy pictures and give explanations that contradict what our eyes plainly see have a vested interest, because their model of the universe, and your continued financing their programs can't stop.

I am science friendly. However - I differ on how I define that. Real science can always be proven in the real world. Big Bang, Gravity and other Theoretical physics (yes, Gravity is a theory that has problems, and can be explained by other factors) - cannot.

The knowledge of God and the fear of him is the beginning of wisdom. The beast is not even in the same race.

You have no idea what it's like to have fear while God is throwing your body to the ground and working on it until you're screaming at the top of your lungs in pain.

The Beast is the most important part of the Gospel of God to understand what the Tree of Life is. Without man building false gods with human hands, it would have been impossible for MAN and GOD to know who they are and how we were created.

No, I don't. But what I do know is that what you are describing is not something God would do - but it is something evil spirits in control of a person might do.

God does not force our hands in anything - not even to obey commandments. The influence you describe and ascribe to God is not from Him. I have watched some of your videos and read your words. You have evil spirits strongly influencing you.

God uses the Beast, Satan and Christ to get his servants ready to start testifying to the knowledge called Christ. It is a very difficult experience to go through before you become a trusted servant who has to write and speak each word that the Holy Spirit wants to bring into the world for all chosen believers to see. Without us servants, no man would know who God is or have any knowledge at all. They would still be killing each other like they did before the flood. In fact, nothing has changed for the heathens who don't listen to the voice of God and obey his commandments. They will continue to die of disease, natural disasters and kill each other without any knowledge to know why they're dying.

I am the only servant ever to understand exactly how we're created and why we're experiencing this crazy world we're in. If you listen to the knowledge of Christ that I possess, then you will learn everything there is to know that we servants testified to during this 1,000 year reign of Christ. If you don't believe any of it, then you were chosen to remain an Antichrist until your flesh perishes.

Faith of our fathers, living still
In spite of dungeon, fire and sword,
O how our hearts beat high with joy
Whene’er we hear that glorious word!
Faith of our fathers! holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death!
