Highlander, Hillary Clinton was not in office as secretary of state (Hillary Clinton was in office from 2009 AD until 2013 AD) when Islamic State first appeared in Syria on 15th October 2006. George Bush was President at the time IS appeared and Condoleezza Rice was Secretary of Sate of the USA. On 9th May 2013 Islamic State (in Iraq) and Syrian Al-Qaeda unified three months and eight days after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton retired from office.

The Islamic state -- at least the organization under bin Laden -- began under President BILL CLINTON. Clinton was, in fact, offered bin Laden as a prisoner THREE DIFFERENT TIMES by Sudan, but Clinton wanted no part of this offer. When bin Laden carried out his infamous 911 attack on the USA a few months after he left office, Clinton, himself, said he knew right away it was bin Laden and that he'd made a big mistake in not taking him prisoner.

ISIS formed in IRAQ after Obama and Sec of State Hillary refused to leave enough troops in that country (as requested by Iraq) to keep the peace when Obama was foolishly closing down our operations in Iraq. The Iraq government wanted us to leave 15-20,000 troops there and Obama wanted to give the impression that all was peaceful now and only offered to leave a handful of troops. The Iraq government then told him to pound sand. Obama pulled virtually all of our troops out and ISIS came into being to fill the vacuum of our absence.

As a result, all of the blood and guts that American soldiers spilled to liberate Iraq was poured down the drain by a very stupid man who succeeded GWB as POTUS.

I know you love to rewrite history -- but you cannot rewrite reality.

Trump is the biggest joke ever to run for political office and is not wrthy or tempermentally fit to serve. If he is elected it will be the ruin of this country but I just have trouble believiing that the american people are that stupiud

around 12 million people voted for Donald Trump. At the election in November more will probably vote for him. What does that say about them?

That they don't want Hillary so bad that they even vote for Trump. Weird.

His morals may be bad but his policy either does not exist or is horrible. It is more frightening for electors to hear him say "bomb the hell out of them"

He insulted every prisoner of war ever not to mention those who lost their lives and the thought of this man with the nuclear codes is downright horrifying

Hillary has already been officially declared a very bad security risk. Perhaps she cannot be given those codes - being unable to handle secrets. Who will be at the button them? Why entrust them to one officially declared untrustworthy?

Do you think Hillary will be good for the country? Given you seem to hold to fairly traditional views where things like gay marriage and transgender issues are concerned I'm surprised you focus purely on how bad you think Trump will be.

I can't help thinking that both candidates represent a distinct possibility for Really Bad Things to develop, but in totally different ways.

That they'd rather have Trump as president than Hillary? You really can't read anything more into it than that. Some of them will think Trump is the best thing that could possibly happen to the US. Some will think he's the second-to-worst thing that could possibly happen, with President Hillary being the worst. The fact someone puts an X in the box next to Trump doesn't tell you anything.

No. I dont think she will be good but she is the lesser of two evils, Trump as president scares me something awful.

If their only desire is not to vote for Hillary Clinton then they can accomplish that by not voting for president.

They both scare and disgust me equally. Both are equally disqualified IMO.

True, yet we will end up with one or the other and rather than not voting I will vote for the one I think is the lesser evil

If their only desire is not to vote for Hillary Clinton then they can accomplish that by not voting for president.

If their desire is to keep Hillary out of the White House the obvious course of action would be to vote for the person they believe is most likely to defeat her. There's a big difference between the stances of not wanting to actively support a candidate and wanting to actively oppose them.

The point remains that your question about what voting for Trump says about someone, aside from a possible reading that's somewhat derogatory, is sufficiently open-ended that the answer is meaningless. As I said someone who votes for Trump could be anywhere on a spectrum from agreeing with and approving of everything Trump has said and done during the entire cycle, to disagreeing and disapproving of most of what Trump has said and done but still regarding him as a better candidate than Clinton.

Therefore, what voting for Trump says about the person casting the vote is nothing more than that they would rather see President Donald Trump than President Hillary Clinton.

The thought of President Trump concerns me but frankly the thought of President Clinton scares me. Yes, Trump appears to be egotistical and narcissistic but Clinton appears to have ongoing issues with truthfulness in ways that, to me at least, appear more significant than Trump's.

Why does being pro-Israel make someone smart?
